  1. You're right. They just paid less for a striker which I am assuming Rogers has more trust in than Carroll. However, they know they will be a laughing stock buying for £35m and then selling for £12m 18 months later.
  2. Puts things into perspective doesn't it. I actually think Fletcher is ok, but £15m ffs!

Took me a re-read to realize what the fuck was happening. Fucking unreal :)
  4. Fair play to the spuds they don't half fleece other teams. Didn't they manage to make a profit on Pienaar. He hardly played at Spurs so you would expect his value to go down. Hughes is a moron spending £10m on Dawson. Dawson is no mug but £10 million???

I hope for a number of reasons he gets off with a slap on the wrist. 1st and foremost - We need him on the touchline 2nd - can you imagine the meltdown on RTG if it happened. I think a few of their wives/sisters may get a beat down if that happened.
  6. Know what you mean. He seems a bit simple or unhinged, not sure which. Love him though, great attitude. You get the feeling that Taylor has been cock bullying Adam Campbell.
  7. A tad harsh on Rooney yet. Welbeck has had one decent to good season, but overrated, probably due to Man Utd effect and the lack of English strikers. Rooney is class though.
  8. Everton looking strong. If they don't do they usual start the season crap and keep key players fit they may flirt with top 4. Like us they are crying out for a class right back. Hibbert stands out a mile in this team. I know Neville has been more that useful for them but and upgrade on him and Hibbert would make a top quality 1st 11.
  9. Good save that, Fellani has been immense. I am surprised the top clubs haven't bothered with him yet. Everton probably be able to fleece the fuck out of teams for him though. He's been quality since he's joined, his first season was over shadowed by the yellow cards, he seems to have reigned that in a lot too.
  10. Can you imagine the commentators reaction if Fellani did that challenge. Imagine how many rolls Nani would have taken. Fair play to Gibson like.
  11. http://www.redandwhhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=296665.0 Champions League every time???
  12. I think Johnson is a good player, however, RB is the weakest part of our team. Would rather match Lille's asking price than splash out on Johnson.
  13. Very RTGesq that kind of comment. Sorry mate, never entered my head that it was a fluke. He knew exactly what he was doing there.
  14. Some agent who reckons he was first to announce RvP to Man Utd talking about a pending deal for Man Utd and Kaka. Cannot see that myself?

Sorry I'm thick and being try to work it out for 10 mins now, how the f*** do you post the video direct to the post? FFS thanks Dave, simples
  17. I get the impression with him that he picks up the ball, he knows exactly what he wants to do and then a few seconds down the line doubts himself, stops and tries to think wtf to do next. When you seem him take goals like he did v Blackburn away you just wonder what goes through his head. He took that goal with so much confidence, those are easy to fuck up, especially with all the thinking time he has.
  18. I didn't see that I just remember him taking some top pens on a famous video site after he first signed. Pity we can't do special teams and bring wor Shola on for pens (I know we couldn't have done that anyway yesterday) I assume now the HBA will be on pens at least until he misses?
  19. Demba played well yesterday and looked a lot sharper than Cisse. Amazing goal. Demba missed the last two pens hasn't he so I was expecting Cisse to step up. I am surprised that someone wasn't given the pen taking role before the game though. I don't like the squabbling over pens, it adds extra pressure to an already pressurized situation anyway.

Fergie and Wenger have been sent to the stands before. To be fair I think most referees upon hearing what he had done would have sent whoever to the stands. I can't remember a manager pushing an official before, I think the FA will look pretty grimly on the whole thing. I don't think this one is because "we are Newcastle" I honestly dont think it was anywhere near as bad as some have said, however i do think pardew wil be given some kind of punishment, purely so the FA can stamp thier authority at the start of the season It will work against him that it was the very opening day of the season, it may have been brushed under the carpet a bit more mid-season, but its the first major controversial incident. The FA and PL are fully behind the respect campaigns and all the Olympic stuff is still fresh. I am expecting a couple of games touchline ban with a few more added on suspended with the view to future behavior, and of course a monetary fine.
  21. Encouraging that we can be well below par and still pick up 3 points against a good team. Defoe was a handful and we dealt with him pretty well. Bale looked a threat in glimpses but the most consistent threat was probably Lennon and in the 2nd half we dealt with that better. Cabaye, Tiote and Cisse all looking off the pace a bit which is understandable, makes Tiote's performance all the better, he put in hell of a shift and was running on nothing for the last 10 minutes yet was still looking for a team mate rather than kick it as high up the pitch as possible. That game would have done the 3 of them wonders in terms of match sharpness, I imagine all will sit out Thursday. Then on to a tough game against Chelsea, no reason to fear them though.

Whatever it was and I believe it was the heat of the moment, he can't be doing shit like that. If an opposing player did the same to a ref you would probably expect a red card.

  24. It's doing no good at the moment. But it would help if your manager had even a little bit of faith in you. If AC had any sense he would get out of Liverpool whenever he gets the chance, even if it is to West Ham, try to insist on a loan and you've got a year in the shop window, even working with Big Fat Sam has got to be better than only be used when desperate or run out of ideas?
