The amount of times Real play a CM at CB and RB is criminal.
-
This Real Madrid midfield is so bad. You can’t have 4 attackers that barely defend.
-
My assumption is Wilson is on 70-100k. £40k 1 year deal plus generous bonuses for appearances and goals. I’m for it.
-
If he drops the wages in half. Happy to play 20 minutes at the end of games and the odd cup game…. I kinda like it. I do love Wilson though and sentimental. If the wages are low enough - I’m for it.

Spurs were a midtable team those times. We had challenged recently. In my lifetime we’ve never beaten a team a level above us en route a final. The thing with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U - they’ve beaten teams better than them to trophies. -

That’s the point I was getting too. That Chelsea semi was massive back in the day. Has we squeezed past them we would’ve won the FA Cup that year imo. Beating Arsenal and then Liverpool to win a trophy will change the very DNA of this club. -

Think Cronky is agreeing with me. Spurs don’t count. -
Cunha is a top top player but he's a 10 or a LW not a RW. But I do rate Cunha high enough to take Gordon's spot personally. The relative prosperity of PL clubs has killed moves between them. Man U would frequently buy the leagues best players and prospects like Cantona, Yorke, Cole, Ferdinand, Rooney, Carrick, Berbatov, RVP etc. and it was cash money for them. Then more and more of the best players started to go to Chelsea or Real/Barca. Modric and Bale should've gone to Man U a season or two before they went to Madrid.

Net spend is naff. Squad cost + wages is a better marker of expense. -

The Expressions lad comes up with puns so quickly. He doesn't pretend to be serious either which makes it fun. -
So good Arsenal fans have put together a compilation of him bodying VVD because he’s been so dominant against Arsenal they want to show it’s par for the course for the lad
-
Think also he’s not a big name ex player. English. Leans more on physicality than technical ability - less possession based. Not managed at a top 6 club or a fancy one abroad. Last season I felt the media wanted Ange to be great. A big part of that was the style of football. Di Zerbi similar in the past. Iraola has the big hype this season. Dont watch a lot of Bournemouth - they remind me of us. There I think being foreign is a bonus.

Is it the first time we've beaten a top team (playing their strongest side) on the way to a final? -
Our best attacking players enjoy space to run into. Bruno aside we don't have great methods of breaking down a low block. As good as Joelinton and Murpy have been, they are not top 6 players in terms of keeping the ball and moving it around. Murphy can play a great final pass but his general play and passing can be super wayward.
-
I'm thinking from Howe's perspective. Against City IMO? We stick with the hybrid back 5.
-
We haven't iirc. If one of them will be dropped... I think it's Hall. Howe has never dropped Burn iirc. Or Joelinton.
-
Agree with all of this. It was stiff competition for Hall. But he didn't have much presence in midfield and when he was meant to get to LB - he was slow in doing so. In the final - praying everyone is fit and available - I think all of Joelinton, Botman, Burn, Schar, Hall start. I don't know how but those are all Howe's favourites (well one isn't a bonafide favourite). Liverpool are a big side and Spurs are vulnerable from set-pieces. As great as Trippier was, I don't fancy him against Son and probably not against any Liverpool winger either.
-
It is. He doesn’t even need to make it on the pitch. We can just get him to hold on to a ball.
-
I do love this team man. Tripps, Lascelles, Krafth all the way up to Isak. How many of them will be here in 2 years? Win that trophy and becoming immortal lads.
-
Those lads has good seasons then tbf.
-
I don’t want to see Burn at LB ever again.
-
Howe is under rated in the media imo.
-
His mentality is one of his superpowers. He keeps coming back for more. Thats what separates him from the likes of Martinelli.
