He’s better and more relaxed with his feet o give you that. I don’t think he’s better coming off his line but he probably is more calm so I give you that too. i don’t believe you’ve seen him or Pope 1v1 enough times to say who is better. But Pope is statistically a better shot stopper and penalty saver. Ramsdale is so good. He’s been replaced by a man 3 years older than him. He’s not good enough at the basics of goalkeeping. That’s why he’s out of the team. I’m yet to see a compelling argument as to why he’s better than Pope. The stats don’t back it up. The eye test doesn’t back it up. Pope has made a few mistakes so some on NO have decided he’s not good enough. They’ve looked at another keeper who is much better with his feet and decided he’s an upgrade. Even though the other guy is inferior in every other way.
-
Name the ways he’s better than Pope.
-
Pope is still better at commanding his box than Ramsdale. Ramsdale is targeted from corners because he’s not the biggest or strongest and can get caught under the ball frequently enough. Ramsdale is not an upgrade.

Your own football ability - how good are/were you?

I went to school with Victor Moses. I was faster than him. He was like pace 16 acceleration 16 on FM. So what would I have been? That's the best thing about my football ability. -
He's not going to be fit physically or mentally. Someone like Neves will have an eye on the Euros squad and has extra motivation to get fit. I assume Serbia will be there but Mitrovic will start if he's not injured anyway.
-
This makes it funny. It's all reactionary, they've not bothered to even scratch the service. Say we did use it to get in 4-5 top players that transform our team. It will just go back up for voting next time and be passed. It's going back up to vote anyway and with 2 of the sides that voted for it likely to be relegated.

A lot of them wouldn't fancy living in Newcastle Jan-March imo, and if they did - some would require a fair amount of adaptation which a loan wouldn't give them. The cashing out is also mental.
-
I think we'll bring in 1 or 2 towards the end of the window. But we will use it smartly. Like if Mahrez lad is up for it genuinely - that would be great (there;s Afcon in Jan-Feb). Other than Mahrez, Neves, Laporte or ASM. I don't think Eddie would want any others on loan for 6 months. And I doubt many others would genuinely want to come. We voted for it so clearly we want the option.

Don't they have VAR? Agreed it's at least one yellow for DePaul... arguably 2. He's tried to deceive the ref which is simulation and the foul is arguably a yellow too.

Palace fans have a meltdown that Parish voted for the block. They are right. He’s more concerned with stopping us than trying to raise his club up. Fans annoyed that their multi club model seems to be a sham - based on the vote.
-
Seems like most clubs have multi club model of some sort. Some more integrated than others. Ours isn’t integrated at all

Villa? Man U new investor owns Lens. everton new investors own a bunch of clubs but don’t do much swapping from what I can Palace investors own other clubs

I think this is true. But also.. PL players are expensive. Unless the player is old, contract running out, PL to PL transfers are ridiculously inflated.

Comparing Isak to Haaland or Wilson is fools gold. In terms of style - he’s more similar to Jesus. He wants to drop deep and play. But it doesn’t look like he has the physical capacity (atm) to play his more involved game and press. Neither does Jesus.
-
Might have something to do with that picture that leaked awhile back. Messy guy.
-
I like Mbeumo, but I want a ball player/playmaker/creator in that position. He's a forward. Great movement and instincts in the box, although his finishing isn't Ivan Toney levels. Good player for me. But unless we plan on shifting Miggy or Murphy - no than ks.
-
Mbeumo penalty record: 100% success rate (5 taken).

Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability
The College Dropout replied to Mattoon's topic in Football
I don’t think most clubs would spend more because of removing FFP. FFP only limits the ambitious. Most are happy to be on the gravy train. Two things I like about FFP is that it discourages hoarding players (although it encourages short term hoarding). And it incentivises youth development. -
Croatia have beaten England, Argentina (group stage) and Brazil at major tournaments in the last five years. Have Holland or Spain beaten such opponents at a recent tournament? Have England? I never said Croatia were traditional European heavyweights. But they've shown they can go deep in tournaments and beat heavyweight opposition.

It’s the way they’ve done it though. Liverpools owners have grown the club, commercial revenues up, stadium modernised and expanded and results on the pitch. Glazers with a leveraged ownership are doing Mike Ashley type things. Not the worst owners ever but… pretty bad like. -

Much of it is ego and an excellent long-term investment that rises with the tide. That's what's hurting the championship sides. Owners coming in on an ego trip - aiming to get promoted into the PL gravy train. Failing. Running out of money. Go bust. -
It's England, Portugal & France talent-wise. Germany (historically), Italy and, to a lesser extent, Croatia are big-game nations.

I like the fact top level football isn’t particular profitable. I’m sure it deters some chancers. -

Oh no - not enough profit for the billionaire owners. Too much going to… the people that actually play. What a shit state of affairs. -
The ‘go have a look’ is only instructed if the VAR thinks the decision is wrong which I think is correct use of VAR. If he goes over, he has to give it. I prefer VAR to be used less. Go with the decision on the pitch unless it’s totally incorrect. That has an element of diving to it, not strong contact, play on.
