  1. Hall been brilliant. Elanga was on there. Man if Gordon and Bruno were fit….,.
  2. This doesn’t have league cup energy for me. That was 90 minutes away from history. This I’m excited but it doesn’t have that ‘what if?’ feeling. Maybe if we take a lead to Barcelona I’ll get that feeling.
  3. Hall struggled vs Savinho 1v1. Savinho is a good dribbler so that can happen but on his best day Hall nullifies him more.
  4. More than the pace the lack of aggression or urgency that is the reason why he’s not a Howe player.
  5. The team that won the League Cup (as in the defensive and midfield starters) is our strongest defensively and mentally. A tired Trippier, broken Pope, no Tino, no Bruno, no Schar - that's a lot of leadership out.
  6. Fully expect Gordon to start as striker. These are vulnerable with that high line. We can win this first leg. Fully expect us to go out but we can win this first tie.
  7. Nothing stopping the Owners setting up multi-club and moving players around.
  8. He's a rotation option. He's not getting the opportunity to be a big problem. Not had a lot of minutes but has 1 assist in the PL this season. He's behind Semenyo and Doku as a dribbler winger and there's Cherki, Foden, Marmoush to compete with,
  9. We made Savinho look better than he has been.
  10. Character and personality is key. I don’t expect many of the old guard to leave.
  11. Gittens is a LW. Estevao is a RW. It’s not about numbers. Elanga isn’t good at football.
  12. I don’t see it. If Tino was going to start he would’ve got 20-30 minutes. 10 means he’s getting 20-30 minutes against Barca imo. And in with a chance to start the second leg.
  13. He’s never not played Burn in a crunch game.
  14. 10 minutes then 60 minutes 4 days later? After 10 weeks injured. I think the tie has a come a week too early for Tino to start.
  15. I just don’t think the owners are particularly motivated or competent for this game. I don’t care about new badges, I’m happy to do what’s best for revenue and atmosphere stadium wise. But football is a fast and ruthless game. These guys are slow and ponderous. It looks like they don’t empower the people on the ground. Stadium and training ground taking forever as an example. These noises about the front of shirt sponsorship isn’t positive either. Haven’t got a big hire right that Staveley wasn’t involved in. Hasn’t got a good transfer window isn’t Staveley was involved. They seemingly force the club leadership to spout ambitious waffle but don’t lay the pipework for it to actualise. That’s annoying but increasingly I’m learning it’s just how they are. Talking. Less action. I don’t trust the direction is up. It is what it is really. I’ll be happy when we get good news.
  16. You think he’s benching Dan Burn? Tino won’t start either. There’s very little chance of winning the Competition Crystal Palace are the champions of? Every club that’s a favourite for the FA Cup will prioritise the CL over it and have a realistic chance of winning. We’ve beaten all the FA Cup favourites in one off games this season or last. and they would likely heavily rotate all the at to the semis unless our of the CL.
  17. Yes as a fan I think the FA Cup is more important. There’s a good chance we lose both legs to Barca. Better chance we lose the tie. Won’t win the competition.
  18. Aye key is the owners and the ability/willingness to throw their weight around competently. Staveley managed to get them to do it. One of the reasons I’m so down on yesterday is I don’t really believe in the ownership. 18 months since Staveley left and don’t think we’ve improved on what she left behind.
