No excuse not to get top 4 this season for them. Amorim was holding them back. There’s a fundamental stench at Man U mind. Sunderland have got too many points ok the board already to get relegated. But that Xg table does fill me with confidence they’ll hit a slide at some point. Villa have scored a crazy amount of goals from distance
-
Thank you for beating Villa Ruben. Will never forget that. And the 6 points that season. You made all the difference.
-
Annoyed. The only silver lining to them beating us was Amorim getting another z6 months to achieve nothing.
-
The expectations have definitely changed. The game is developing players and selling them. They sold Madueke after spending 2.5 years developing him into an England international and becoming a consistent player. Replaced him with 20 year old Gittens. Not a single player over 28 getting minutes. Most of the team is 25 or younger. Chelsea do not intend on winning the PL and such. If that were the intention, they wouldn't have hired Maresca in the first place. Poch left because he didn't like the direction the ownership wanted. Maresca has largely left for the same reason. Chelsea want a competent stooge who will shut up, put cones out, develop players and secure regular CL football. Rosenior will get the job becasue he's done the first 3 already at BlueCo France.
-
Just think Maresca did a solid job with little experience or brand name and Rosenior is similar. People think of Chelsea as the Abramovic era. Big players big ego's, need to win. It's a new day.
-
What big egos at Chelsea? Rosenior is as well known as Maresca was pre-Chelsea.
-
Injured you would assume.

He’s been lowkey Stevie G’ing us this season. Immense.
-
Sissoko and Gini in this midfield would be great. They have the perfect attributes for a Howe midfielder.
-
Like 99% of CMs he doesn’t like being pressed. Bruno invites a press. Tonali has never been amazing on the ball either. Not close to Bruno anyway. All of our midfielders play percentage passes that just turn defenders. It’s ugly and sets a poor precedent. Tonali has always played fast sometimes leading to poor passes but he should be encouraged to slow down and just tick it over and it never happens
-
Handsome well to score as many as he has. But you can see that he could easily have more if he was consistently aggressive and moving sharply in the box. Last season was his first season playing consistent Bundesliga football and only half those minutes as a striker. He’s got a lot to learn and to develop but that’s natural.
-
Glad he doesn’t sulk when he comes on
-
Was decent. Still don’t think he links well with anyone.
-
He’ll have games like today because he’s not very good in general play. Worked hard and gave his best. Struggle to criticise Murphy. He is what he is.
-
Said it in another thread - this is almost as much Big Joe’s side as it is Bruno G. Like the system only really works with a fit and firing Joelinton. When he’s not on point or someone else plays it doesn’t function properly. Today he was all action. One thing I would like to see is other players attempt the Schar long ball through to Joelinton making a curved run. Only those 2 lads attempt it.
-
Would’ve liked to have seen Joe on earlier tbh. Murphy wasn’t great and was knackered. Player a lot of football Murph
-
It was good movement and run and a shot on target. He’s not always going to hit it like Benfica(?) but still a decent effort.

Brilliant today. Almost playing so well I’m concerned Howe might see him as a FB -
Was top quality. Sexy on the ball too.

Pino meant to be their Eze replacement? 19 caps for Spain and big reputation. Was pap. Pap every time I watch them. -

As good as we ended I also think Palace faded physically too. Glasner hasn’t rotated much and they have injuries. -
