  1. He'll partner Perch if Colo doesn't make it. Mark my words!!
  2. Hernandez, Vidic, Given, Jenas. All injured this week. Sack their medical team as well eh?
  3. Anyone else think this is a ruse to keep him from going to the ANC?
  4. Man the day he turns it around and becomes a decent FOOTBALLER is the day none of us are on this earth. Alien Perch He had Jonas in his back pocket when playing for Forest. He is not as bad as people make on but suffers from a lack of confidence borne out of a poor start for us last season when he got booked 5 games in a row and the crowd got on his back.
  5. Perch is s***. End of story really. so was ryan taylor, he's been more than adequate till the last 3 games. Different. Raylor was never s***. He just isn't the best footballer around. He scored 4 goals against us meaning something really. Perch on the other hand, dare I say is the worst footballer I've seen play for us (except this weekend when he wasn't totally bad). He looks scared on the ball and looks very very weak. Has nothing about him except possibly that he works hard which suggests he should even be a footballer. it's a good job you're young if he's the worst you've seen for us. raylor also often played in midfield so the goals point is moot. perch looked ok on saturday so lets hope with the teamwork ethic we've seen he gets through and gains in confidence. madras is spot on here, Philip is talking in hyperbole, again. GTFO No it's not about age though, my dad said its one of the worst players he has ever seen on a football pitch too and he has seen him play for possibly 15 minutes. Perch looks scared and nervous, like he doesn't know what to do with the football everytime it is with him. He's really not good, and Raylor iirc scored from the left-back position against us at least once or twice. Raylor isn't a very good footballer, but he's never been s*** to the degree of Perch. Perch has no footballing ability whatsoever. Your lucky you didn't have to see Archie Goolie play for us, now he was s****..........and as for Des Hamilton...... Ill see your Des Hamilton and raise you Carl Serrant. I'll see your Carl Serrant and raise you a Pat Herd.
  6. Apparently made his 1st team debut partnering Des Walker at centre back.
  7. I remember us winning away at Spurs with Andy O'Brien playing Right Back.
  8. Tiote has a tendency to fart about with the ball in our own penalty area so i wouldn't be comfortable at all with him playing centre half. Santon or Kadar for me. I'm trying to think of the last time Kadar actually played for us, was it Bristol City away in the CCC partnering Colocinni? Sure he had a stinker and we were very fortunate to come back and draw after a goalkeeping howler played in Jonas to get a goal back.
  9. About 10 minutes before he came off he came to the bench while we had a throw/corner and lifted the right leg of his shorts and and was desperate for someone to treat the top inside of his thigh which could be classed as his groin. Our bench were as slow as fuck and he was losing it with them for taking so long to spray it with something and was pointing back at the 18 yard line telling them it was as result of a challenge on our 18 yard line with i think Sturridge. He was still keep lifting that leg of shorts and stretching his leg all the time until he was taken off.
  10. No chance. You might at a push see Gosling at Right Back but not centre half.
  11. Spot on. If we had been playing Wigan or Bolton and that had happened we'd have been facing 10 men straight away NO Arguement.

    Alan Pardew

Peter Beardsley Talk in on Thursday night and he says HBA is the laziest player he has ever met, but is also one of the most gifted.
  13. 1 league title, 3 FA cups, 2 League cups, 2 UEFA Cup Winner's Cups. In contrast to West Ham's haul of 3 FA Cups, 1 UEFA Cup Winner's Cup. Average historical crowd more than 7,000 bigger than west ham's puny amount, and a few hundred more than even ours. Whatever way you look at it, Chelsea were a bigger club than West Ham before Abramovich came along. And it's not like you can simply discount what has happened since either. Brilliant attendances like 7000 v Southampton in the early 90s, and regularly getting sub-10k attendances throughout the 80s. Think they had massive post war attendances when they were good in the early fifties and at the time Stamford Bridge held about 80K, sure their record attendance is 82K.
  14. Lovenkrands spent the first half more central than wide and left Raylor massively exposed. We missed Jonas massively today and only a half wit would think otherwise.

I was suprised to see him go off at half time, i didn't think he'd been poor but wasn't great either. I think he was just sacrificed so we could go long a bit more with the wind in the 2nd half.
  16. It's Hansen. He was on Radio 5 earlier and his verdict was Luiz deserved a stonewall red card and that after that Chelsea were the better team but it was a brilliant end to end game with both teams having chances.
  17. Aye, I'd like Pardew to give a chance from the bench to Little Fergie and Vuckic too. Not that I know what their condition/form is like but Ferguson especially has shown that he can be relied upon as much as Sammy imo. Ferguson is injured. I thought Sammy did alright when he came on, ran at them, had shot saved, a shot cleared off the line and won a couple of corners.

Lovenkrands was tucked in a lot more in the 1st half and we seemed therefore to have 3 in the centre leaving Sturridge a free run on Ryan taylor with Lovenkrands making no effort to get back and help out. We seemed to go back to a proper 4-4-2 in the 2nd half.
  19. You serious? Aye, Stevie Wonder could have seen the deflection and Steven Taylor was bollocking Oberton about it while Chelsea were celebrating the goal pointing at his head and making the gesture that the ball had deflected up. I saw the deflection and couldn't beleive Oberton just let it go out.

We did play a top team today, we played a team that were on 1 point less than us and one place below us before kick-off. Before kick-off we were 4th and they were 5th and that's on form so far this season. Where they are or aren't by January is irrelevant to how they've played so far this season. If you think Chelsea have looked like a top team recently you simply haven't been watching the matches. Arsenal put 5 past them; defensive Livepool put 4 past them at Stamford Bridge in 2 games; QPR beat them; Man U demolished them; in europe they've been absolutely all over the place. They aren't a top team anymore. But they still have some top players capable of bumming our bad ones. They are very capable of beating any of the top sides barring City as well. Poor form doesn't make them finished by any means. Stop acting as if they are on a par with Villa, they are still clearly a class above. They're the 6th best team in the league in my view. Sad state if we can't aim to get a result against such a team at home. I thought Chelsea were excellent. They were solid and sat back and said come and break us down and when you can't (which for large portions of the game we couldn't) we'll pick you off on the break. They had the luck with Luiz's yellow card and we did hit the bar 4 times, but at times it was them against Krul.
  21. Crossing was poor and he didn't seem to have the confidence to beat Cole. He was also rank for their first goal when he made no effort to prevent the throw in and assumed it was ours when the cross had quite clearly deflected up off taylor.
  22. agree with this actually, some excellent passes today So say I've been harsh on Guthrie, what are these other ridiculous scores? well for me Perch did alright, would put more blame on Cabaye for losing Mata than Perch I blame Oberton for not stopping it from going out for a throw that was clearly theres.
  23. i thought he was very good. Lost Drogba for the 1st goal, but everyone else had went to sleep as well and i blame Oberton for not making the effort to prevent the ball going out as a blind man could see the cross took a deflection off taylor.
  24. What this bloke said. Some people are too confident about this.
