Hughes had lots of good games. Our full back misery was partly down to years of shit managers. Hughes linked up great with Solano down the right when playing full back.

As Warrington were on last round and are the lowest ranked team in the competition there is a good chance of this being on the tv

It's been as mild as anything though. It's the 12th November and it's a balmy 13C outside. Was 18C on Halloween, warmest since records began etc.

Managed to spend about an hour with this bloke at Bolton away a few seasons ago Yip, he's a complete and utter loon and pain in the arse.

You're looking for the credit to Pardew but no blame club. It's two doors down, just look for the saliva covered windows. Absolutely not, he's not perfect by any means, but he's also not as bad as some people like to make out. I'm always interested to know who people think would come to the club, work within the same constraints and make a better job than Pardew has done. Tuchel, De Boer, Jemez, Moyes, Koeman (would have) take your pick from any number of coaches working under far harsher financial restrictions than poor Alan. Prob wouldn't almost relegate us. Also he is as much part of the "constraints" as Ashley is. so yeah total fallacy Where do you get the idea that Tuchel/De Boer would manage Newcastle? One is a manager of Ajax, the other is a manager that can take their pick of clubs far superior to a Sports Direct advertising franchise. These people do their research before just casually signing up for a job. Another thing that I wonder of, is that you accuse Pardew of being a Mike Ashley puppet, which I agree with, but if Pardiola gets canned, surely Ashley is just going to employ another puppet/mouthpiece? Why would Ashley want someone who will come into the club and try to succeed? All he wants is you lot in the PL drifting from 8th to 17th to advertise his tat. From what I can see, Pardew is the lump, but Ashley is the tumour, and no sqwarking about who the manager is will ever change that, and I say this as a lurker who supports a true mickey mouse football club that plays non-league. We've signed two of Ajax's better players of the last few years, including their captain, why wouldn't we be able to sign their manager? A man who has made comments about how much he respects NUFC? If them 2 are 2 of their better players I'd hate to see their poor ones. So you've made a judgement on De Jong after 1 game in he clearly wasn't fit? Not just 1 game. Did he make it to the World Cup in Brazil?

I would rather of won. Can't believe anyone would advocate losing to them lot down the road mind jeez. Yet you're happy to have Pardew in charge for the next derby. Walking contradiction. Do you think he wanted to lose against them like?
-
I thought he stayed on his feet a lot more today mind, he had a good game.

Why would you replace Colback with Anita after todays performance? Colback was outstanding. -
We won. It's the 5th time in a row we've done that. Pardew isn't going anywhere so the best thing to do is to forget him, support the players and enjoy watching a winning team. If you can't do that it may be time to look for another hobby as following NUFC clearly isn't doing it for you. I don't like Pardew either and never will (look at my avatar) but all this wanting us to lose and not celebrating when we score or win is just plain silly. It's up to anyone how they support the team, if thats how you feel that's fine but telling people to "look for another hobby" isn't fair. Wanting us to lose isn't supporting the team. In your opinion. It's a no brainer. If you want someone to lose you aren't supporting them. I can't believe we're still having the same stupid arguments when we're winning games as we were when we weren't. Except it's not a no brainer and you're wrong. The definition of support isn't "want to win." Absolutely nowhere in any dictionary will you find that written. I give up cos I'm going end up swearing or abusing someone as I just cannot fathom why anyone at any time would want the team the purport to support to lose. If its really such a difficult concept concept for you to grasp you must run into a lot of difficulties in every-day life. I've been told I'm argumentative but I disagree.

Not sure that counts as "being bailed out", the team played like he wanted to and he got the result. Though of course I agree, it looks awful. You're right the team played exactly how he wants it to and has done for a few games now, but we all know it relies on individualism, huge dollops of fortune, misfiring opposition and uber team spirit. Its not sustainable. And its god awful to watch. I enjoyed Colo's goal and welcome the win despite feeling no real degree of delight with it, but that style of football is like sticking needles into your own eyeballs or something. So does every team man. I thought we were excellent today and wonder what the hell people want? We've won 5 games in a row, are unbeaten in 6 and in those 5 games we've won we've only conceded 1 goal. Fair play to him, he was rock bottom a couple of weeks ago and now has us winning games and not conceding. Just enjoy it man ffs.

Tony Green next to the Alder Sweeney Memorial Garden after the match.

he was constantly coming to the bench and getting drinks.

Said we should have had two reds. Sissoko and Janmaat Sissoko should've walked. Very dangerous tackle on Allen. Janmaat on Balotelli was yellow for me. I don't even remember the Sissoko one. Clumsy/poor tackle from behind. Allen could easily have broke his leg. Yellow. Never a red. Was right below me and I didn't even think it was a yellow. The ref was absolutely disgraceful. The fiasco of walking out the 10 yards only for them to put their wall a yard in front of it and then to walk over the line he drew was a disgrace. Watch the replay. It was very dangerous. Allen is a lucky man. I've not seen any replays, i'll have to wait for motd but I thought they got away with murder and the ref was harsh on us. I dunno whether it was a pen when Sissoko got fouled it was a stonewall one when Colback got fouled in the area.

Played up front on his own with Perez wide when he came on. He looks much beter than he did before he was dropped, actually looks like a player now.

We had 36% possession playing at home I'm not really sure that counts as positive football, but we fought hard so I'll give credit to the lads on the pitch. Especially the likes of Aarons and Perez who had to try and figure out a way through the Liverpool defence singlehandedly for the most part. Possession stats are a crock of shit man. Only thing that matters is the score. They passed it back and forwards and sideways loads keeping possession but done absolutely fuck all with it same as Rodgers Swansea used to. When we got possession we were much more direct and dangerous with it than they ever were.

Not really, the stretcher was as usual an age in coming with the blokes slowly walking around from the tunnel area with it.

Official: Daryl Janmaat joins Watford for £7m

Best moment of the game by a mile. Never had an intention of winning the ball either. Don't blame him, Abeid had just been proper done and there were 2 bad fouls ignored by the ref before Janmaat lost his rag and just did him. I was fearing a red was going to come out though.
