Yeh, hate when people say it's the cowards way out. That's not what LIIWBY is saying though, is it? I agree with him that (attempting to) commit suicide by causing an accident involving innocent others is not, on the face of it, a very social thing to do. However, it is also clear that people who do this are not thinking straight, so it's hard to judge really. I saw a very moving documentary the other day about a girl who was going to commit suicide and that followed her preparations. She planned the whole thing meticulously, said goodbye to her father and friends (who knew what she was planning) and finally overdosed in exactly the way she had planned. Suicide is always painful of course for everybody involved, but if people feel they are better off that way, I think this is a much more 'honourable' approach. I can not imagine how I would feel if my wife and kids perished in an accident caused by somebody committing suicide. Was this girl terminally ill? No. 20 year old girl suffering from depression. So the documentary crew just stood on and filmed it and watched instead of helping or trying to prevent it? Wasn't a film crew, just the documentary maker with her camera. Also, they obviously didn't film the actual suicide, they filmed the weeks of preparations proceeding it, interviewing her father and friends etc. The documentary maker and father appeared on a Dutch television show too explaining why they had done it, and it was quite moving and understandable to be honest. The project was called "I am letting you go" (in Dutch), and that is exactly what it was. This is the (English text) website of the project: http://bnnz.nl/projecten/ik-laat-je-gaan/en/ That is grim. Wrong on so many levels. How so? That someone has made a documentary film about a young girl's plans to kill herself rather than trying to save her and get her some help.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United - 26/12/2014 3pm (BT Sport)

Nah, I got muted for 24 hrs a month or 2 back. You can read the board but not post replies or start threads unlike a ban where you can't even read the board. Frustrating though as you can't respond to arguments. -
Was on Motd last night. Phil Neville and Martin Keown were discussing it with Mark Chapman, stats are pretty much the same except they now have Carroll as a long ball option and Sakho and Valencia as short pass options and are winning games.

I think we'll get tonked in this one and also get tonked off Everton on sunday as well. Burnley will run us close on New Years Day too. -
That video was shown on the big screen at the match during the warm ups.
-
I think we're deliberately holding him back and suggesting his injury is worse than it really is so that we don't have to release him for the ACON.
-
No he isn't. He's a crock of shit used to playing in a crock of shit pub league where Luuk De Jong can score a 41 minute hat trick.
-
Steve howey was on total sport the other night saying ginola worked hard in training. Aye he was and he said if he didn't work he was told to in no uncertain terms and took on board the criticism and knuckled down.
-
please fucking tell me thats not real. People buy that shit?! Thats doesn't even remotely resemble news VERY VERY VERY REAL!
-
His header wide of a gaping goal in the first half at 1-0 was worse. The one in the second half I'd say was a miss by cabella.
-
Paul Robinson emergency loan. allegedly deal done before last nights "injury".

TBF it is just a more legal version of touting as they are all 2nd hand tickets... Happens all the time now sadly for gigs... Im actually all for touts at NUFC games now. More people that attend games the more it hurts the club in the long run. How if they are buying tickets from the club? They aren't buying from the club, they're buying off ticket holders on a legal online auction site.

Who in the fuck is our backup right back? Do we have one? Saylor at RB. Dummett and Colo in the centre for me. Haidara LB. The king will play Taylor Williamson Dummett Haidara i reckon I think Dummett will play right back and Taylor centre back. Williamson Is injured and Tiote is also facing a late fitness test so Anita may be required in midfield anyway. -

People like Chris Hughton because his era is the last time many of us can remember having any pride in the club and gave the club some real dignity. Two things Pardew has stripped away completely. No-one thinks he was a great manager but we had many great games under him that mean people remember him fondly (as they should). We had some pretty s*** ones as well. Scunthorpe away Doncaster at home WBA away just before he got binned. Lot of rose tinted specs about Hughton. He wasn't the best manager around, absolutely not, but he was a likeable guy unlike the dick in charge of us right now. He was the opposite extreme in terms of opening his gob to Pardew, would deny it was going to get dark at night. And your point is? You think Pardew is a better and more likeable manager? nope.
-
We did but it was pretty grim.
