Don’t agree with this, and if it was true I bet Tonali would’ve still been on the pitch towards the end.

Definitely our best midfielder, possibly best out of the front 6 along with Miggy (despite his decision making). We were playing the best team in the world and lost 1-0 through a fantastic goal

Completely agree. He did lose the ball a few times, but felt at times it was because the ball was played to him in very difficult circumstances unlike pre-season and last weekend where he would dwell on the ball for a year before losing it.
-
? Thought him and Joelinton couldn’t really find their footing at all tonight. City are just too good, they’ll bounce back next weekend though.
-
Thought he was poor last weekend, and while he had trouble tonight he was the only one really trying to match their midfield compared to Big Joe and Tonali.
-
Agreed.

City’s way of absorbing pressure and just play around it in two seconds if impressive. Most teams get fucked by our pressing, City takes the piss out of it.

Rooneys been done by someones calculator.

Estupinan to Mitoma. Mitoma to Estupinan. FPL

139 penalties? Jesus Christ.

In Brazil, where betting has grown in the past year, over 10 players were done for spot fixing. Yellow cards, throw ins in certain minutes etc. I think it happens all the time and I know it does. In Sweden its been quite common in many sports for many years at the highest level as well. I think Paqueta if found guilty (I think its fair to say it seems absolutely obvious by the facts provided right now) should be banned for at least 2 years, but the only solution to the problem will be betting becoming illegal and that won’t happen. Also, in this specific case it seems bets were done in Brazil at a store (kind of contradicts the story of multiple accounts) by relatives to him. Maybe they were naive enough to think it wouldn’t be found out as it the bets and the yellow card were in two separate countries.

Do think there’s a higher requirement for evidence for criminal offence though, I think that is much more difficult. Wasn’t Xhaka freed a few years ago because they couldn’t prove he was involved in a max bet placed on him getting a yellow in the last 10minutes (which he got for complaining to ref)?
-
Seems as the bets were placed on an accumulator with another player based from Rio De Janeiro called Luiz Henrique that plays for Betis that also picked up a yellow card in the 89th minute for complaining the same day. He was dropped from the U23 national team because of the same reason. Both players also picked up a yellow on May 21 against Leeds and Sevilla respectively… Unless both were threatened with having their families kidnapped and killed (which would be the only half logical thing although more likely they thought because the bets were placed in Brazil they would be fine…), they will both be banned from football. In Brazil there has been similar cases lately with 2 years ban from football given and I think that would be the only fair thing to do although I wouldn’t mind a five year ban for disrespecting the sport.

Was confused as to your post. Joelinton was called up.
-
Paqueta dropped from the national team due to the betting investigations. Was supposedly going be called up just until a few hours ago.
-
Called up by Diniz along with Bruno for the next World Cup Qualifiers in September. First real competitive games for him in the yellow shirt.

What are you on about? If it had nothing to do with what he’s done with West Han he could’ve bought him earlier for far cheaper One thing to suggest that his original interest stems from his time in Brazil, but clearly he would want him now because he’s shown he can adapt to the league?

I’ve enjoyed it because it’s about Newcastle, however, the editing hasn’t been the best. Wished it was slightly more football oriented, more ”All or Nothing”-styled. Also, don’t mind the owners at all, not sure what people were expecting from a documentary about the club. Actually quite pleasently surprised that Amanda and Mehrdad seems very involved in the club and while obviously they won’t portray them differently, it does seem like the players genuinely get along with them and that they genuinely care about the club. Then again, Mike Ashley seemed the same from the start and he ended up fucking us for over a decade.

I kind of agree Guy has already headed the ball, see those types of plays all the times. If Onana had punched the guy in the face then fine, but kind of clatters into him after the ball has been played and doesn’t really affect the play. maybe I should look at it for a fifth time though. I might or might not be biased as Onana secured me 9p in FPL and Man U will be shite this season regardless.

am I the only one that didnt think it was a penalty?

Nah, he’s essentially retiring at 31 just like the rest that have gone there. Sad state of affairs
