  1. Everton wasting time with 70 minutes to go. Never seen this before.
  2. Been 7 minutes into the game, but why the fuck weren't we in for Palhinha?
  3. Wasn't he in the training pictures? Imagine he's on the bench if someone like Burn is out.
  4. Would be an exciting signing from what I've read. Never seen him play though
  5. Is Big Joe really top 6? What top 6 side would get into? I think Joelinton is improving massively, but top 6 is a bit of ridiculous statement despite him being Brazilian
  6. Find a compromise. £27.5m up front. £2.5m if we make the CL. Played as a #10 at the weekend and was fantastic apparently.
  7. They're signing loads of players at a reasonable fee. €100m or something like that for Vitinha, Sanches, Ruiz and possibly Soler is just disgustingly good business.
  8. As someone that has seen Paqueta quite frequently I think the big problem for him has been he doesn't really fit into most top sides needs. As someone who is something of a versatile player, but that does it probably at best as something between a #10 and CM I'm not sure what team he'd come in an improve massively so much that they would be willing to spend lots of money on him (apart from us unfortunately). Arsenal, is probably the side that would've benefitted most from him, playing him in the new Xhaka role next to Odegaard. But we already know that they had other priorities such as the front 9 as they lost Auba and Laca in the space of 6 months. I'm not sure about this Fabio Vieira guy, but if they hadn't signed him, maybe they would've gone for Paqueta. Chelsea - have prioritised other positions as well as he'd probably have to compete with someone like Mount. Tottenham is the same problem. Where does he fit tactically with Conte? Man United and Man City - Bit expensive to have someone being backup to Bruno and KDB the way they set up their team right now. Liverpool, a team he could've potentially worked with given their style of play off the ball, however, with the ball Liverpool are very very direct and Paqueta has this problem that he sometimes slows down play. Rumours are they were interested in him but didn't pursue it. Maybe because they went with Darwin Nunez early in the window or maybe Klopp didn't see how he fits the team with possession. For the other big european sides, Bayern Munich don't tend to spend that much money on players, but could've seen him there. Real Madrid and Barcelona both made huge signings earlier in the window in Tchouameni (who looks brilliant at that age) and Raphinha (who for me is a better player than Paqueta atm). PSG are the only other side that could've afforded him and I think their interest died when Leonardo was sacked as well as when Messi was signed. He is hell of a signing for West Ham if used correctly and if he adapts well, I think him next to Declan Rice and one of their more technical and mobile players could really improve them. Enough to become a top 6 side? No, the gap is too big imo at the moment. However, with this signing they are definitely my favourites to finish 7th again.
  9. I'd prefer a CM now that we've bought Isak. Call me crazy, but as of right now I have more faith in Almiron and Fraser than Willock and Longstaff.
  10. https://www.espn.com/soccer/west-ham-united-engwest_ham/story/4731550/brazils-lucas-paqueta-is-a-surefire-world-cup-starter-west-ham-fans-should-be-excited Should have the same impact for West Ham as Bruno did for us. That being said, PL is an odd league and more talented players have failed to adapt.
  11. Would be a fantastic signing for them.
  12. I'm so confused by this deal. Makes no sense whatsoever, unless there's a loan fee, 100% wages and an obligation to buy of £5m.
  13. I'd imagine they did, but decided to go another route in terms of money spent. Have high hopes for Isak in this league so this won't hurt as bad. On another note, seems like he started following Declan Rice and Cornet (maybe from Lyon days though) on social media. So will be hilarious if he signs somewhere else.
  14. Well, I rather Spurs than West Ham like Will feel less like we missed out on him. Obviously, there's no guarantees to him adapting to the PL, but his style of play promises a lot for the league and I have more faith in Conte developing him than Moyes.
  15. Ok good. A shit site. The news regarding another PL club has come straight from the Olympique Lyon president. So keep believing lads.
  16. According to who? I haven't stopped believing yet.
  17. Richarlison has to be Conte's favourite player.
  18. Richarlison. What a guy!
  19. Flip

    Joe Willock

Better off the pitch than on it today.
  20. I mean, if Isak blindfolded can't come in straight away and contribute more than Wood then he probably shouldn't have been bought for that sum
  21. Problem with Longstaff is that he wasn't keeping it simple in the 2nd half. He played some terrible passes from deep. Should learn from Big Joe who has now realized he's limited in passing so keeps it simple for most parts. Agree on Willock and Anderson.
  22. Might get caught out a few times defensively, but just in terms of football and going forward this guy is ridiculously good. Has more footballing brains than his 10 teammates today combined.
  23. Thought he was ok for the first 45. He's clearly not talented enough, but he was everywhere for the first 25 minutes. His second half was a ridiculously poor showing, but that's because he was trying to do stuff he's not comfortable doing. I think he's ok if he's told to run and just keep the passing simple and not trying to do Bruno passes. Willock on the other hand, is clearly talented, but the game just passes him by.
