Would people really find it odd if he decided he wanted to stay and try and become a hero in Paris and then maybe move in 2-3 years time? Money does play a big role as well, because at 23 while he has probably made an absurd amount of money, he could very well have his career ended tomorrow so a signing on bonus of €100m would set him and his family for life no matter what happens tomorrow. That's not entirely true. I do agree that the best of him would be in a 4-2-3-1 in the role behind the striker, he doesn't work as a winger at all though. That being said, he's been tried a few times for the national team in a midfield two and has done well there in a box-to-box role. I'm confident that with a DM and Bruno next to him or behind him would work perfectly.
