  1. One of the better politicians we have nowadays. Everything he says is about as spot on as it could be.
  2. BTW this is the tournament where Oscar became the player he now is. Was fantastic in this tournament, Coutinho also played and scored couple of goals but wasn't as convincing as Oscar who scored a hattrick in the final against Portugal. Can't belive Brazil and Argentina absolutely fucked themselves over in the South American Championship (qualifier to this).
  3. Disagree with the first statement nearly as much as I disagree about Brazils strikers being better than Germany and Spain's. Fabregas has become very underrated recently too. TBF the Brazilian strikers are better than Germanys and Spain if you count Neymar as a striker AT THE MOMENT. Fred isn't as bad of a player as a lot of people think and he proved it by absolutely dominating Chiellini the other day.
  4. I was thinking earlier who wouldbe the perfect DM for Brazil. It didn't take long before I came to the conclusion that Javi Martinez is the guy. Luiz Gustavo does that role of DM/third central defender extremely well, but there's a reason to why Javi Martinez is ahead of him at Bayern. Can't think of anyone other than Martinez who would do that role so good. The way we play the DM needs to be a tall ball winner who is also comfortable on the ball and doesn't make any forward runs. Fucking Spain man
  5. How anyone could watch that game, and claim Nigeria were awful is beyond me. Our finishing was in fact worse than awful, but we made the game a worthy spectacle. Thought we played really well, and had just as many chances if not more in fact. Clown analysis bro. I agree. I thought you guys played well and for moments you looked as good as Spain. Problem I thought was the mentality of your team, as soon as Spain scored the 2nd you guys were dead mentally, some players weren't running anymore. A big part of football is psychological and even if you're down 2-0 you should never give up and just keep going, integrate it into the culture of the team.
  6. Spain in Brazilian spirit, apparently rumours going around and being confirmed by the investigation that the money that was supposedly stolen from spanish players rooms might have been stolen by women who were invited to a party with the spanish players and then into their rooms. Videotapes confirm that there was presence of women going into the rooms with some of the players. So if Pique's money was stolen, does that mean he was cheating on Shakira?
  7. I'd agree if it wasn't for that fact that they were very sloppy yesterday and didn't deserve a 3-0 win and the fact that they've played Tahiti, Nigeria and at the moment only the 7th best team in South America. For me they're the greatest national team in I don't know how many years, but I don't think they're as good now as they were in 2010 or 2012. They're still the best team in the world, but I haven't seen this Spain side be so ineffective and be so sloppy in possession as they've been lately. There's five national sides at the moment who could all win the world cup in my opinion if Spain keep being as ineffective and sloppy in possession. Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Italy. (in that order)
  8. That wouldn't just be a waste of his best attributes, it would also be asking him to do something he's not very good at (bit like Pardew does with absolutely everyone). Plus, chipped passes have never worked in this team. Especially with our total lack of wingers. Cabaye needs to be the furthest midfielder forward. Anita or Sissoko should be the deepest. Tiote should be nowhere near the side. Cabaye's best attributes are his vision and passing. The deeper midfield role is perfect for him in the PL - when (as you've alluded to) we find ourselves with 2 good wide players.
  9. Ooh look at me I'm a polyglot. I think he felt more like the 'pathetic moment' tbf.
  10. I know man. The more abused he gets the happier I get so
  11. Hard to tell with that lunatic chairman of there's, sold Cavani for 15m but sold Pastore for over 40m Different stages of their career no? Pastore was an absolute beast at Palermo.
  12. Was a winger growing up and it shows because despite this attacking ability he simply cannot defend. The two best national side in this tournament so far have one or two fullbacks who can't defend. Yeah and the goals you conceded were because of that, Spain were lucky they didn't concede 5 or 6. We scored 9 conceded 2, while Spain conceded one. Attack is the best way to defend
  13. They do move the most I think, but fullbacks run full speed more than anyone else I'd think. Well offensive fullbacks at least.
  14. One of the weirdest moments I've experienced. Brazilian guy translating Abel Hernandez spanish started speaking french until he realized it was portuguese he was going to translate too. Started stuttering now too

  16. ?? The best fullbacks of all time ran as much man. I just love the stamina and ability to never stop running that most offensive fullbacks have.
  17. Switched channel and switched back and missed the goal.
  18. NIGERIA has been really good in my eyes. Looks a whole level better than Tahiti against Uruguay.
  19. Didn't watch the game, but heard they were better against Nigeria than against Spain. They need someone to control and dictate the game for them. Lodeiro is their only option to be that creative outlet. They stack up with 'tacklers' centrally in midfield but who are completely inept at passing a ball.
  20. Most definitely. It's not the same as back in the days, but that's been mostly down to Uruguay being a much inferior team to Brazil. Now that they're on the up since the last WC it's going to be a heated match between both sides. Suarez, Perez, Lugano, Godin, Pereira, Gargagno v Neymar, Dani Alves, Luiz Gustavo, David Luiz, Marcelo it could get very intense. Very debatable tbh, they have been decidedly poor since winning the Copa and Forlan retiring leading to them currently in 5th place for qualifying. They are not the same team they was 2 years ago, think you will win comfortably should you face them. Right, I worded it kind of wrong. What I mean is that they've been enjoying success lately and been a far superior team than the 5th or 6th best in South America that they were during the early 2000s in South America. They have a very good manager in Tabarez and good players like Suarez and Cavani who are starting to become one of the best in their positions in the world. Problem for them is that they lack a creative midfield, and it was no surprise that they were better against Nigeria than they have been when Forlan played behind Suarez and Cavani.
