  1. I'll take that into consideration and who knows what happens
  2. Rafael has been the worst. Anderson is he playing? Because if he is he is clearly the best

Unfortunately he's not a good manager.
  4. Not signed his first "proper" contract yet has he? If so I can't imagine he will be on much. Indeed, not much if his kitchen gives us owt to go on.

Maybe I am extreme, that's me but even I said leave off him till the end of the season. The only thing that would convince me to keep him on for next season is winning the Europa which isn't going to happen. For me he ranks alongside Allardyce & Souness only he has a bit more style, suave and bullshitting abilities. He's not as self centred as Allardyce i'll give you that as well, but personalities aside and concentrating fully on the football, very little separate these plums and what I cannot understand it the board over this while they sack one at great cost, they give the other a daft contract, maybe they too are sold on his diet of bullshit and deflection abilities, I just know i'm not. f***ing hell i hadn't realised opinions on Pardew were this bad. We finished 5th last season and now we want him gone? If you look at all the clubs that consistantly challenge for the top places in the league they are either run by multi multi billionaires or have had a manager that has been at the club at least 10 years. If we want to challenge the top then we need that as well, and if its not pardew then fine, but if the new guy comes in and doesn't shine in his first 12 months then you'll want him gone too, never mind whether its good for the long term future of the club. I like Pardew as a person and despite a very poor showing this season, I can't see any justification for sacking him as this season has been a massive learning curve for the team. I'd love to keep a manager for 10 years and have that consistency, but the issue I have is with the bit in bold. I personally feel that the team has been direction-less all season and have shown no signs of learning whatsoever. I'm fine with giving Pards more time, but I doubt anything will change by January, and he'll probably get hounded out by then. People seem to forget that we also want him to succeed, it's not that, it's just that the football been served at this club this season is abysmal and actually quite embarassing considering the players we've got and that most of us don't have any faith in him. I'd be more than happy to be wrong this one time (would obviously be the first time as Ramires proved to be a good player and that was the only discussion I drove this far)

That might be a good case, but that still only proves that Pardew is fucking worthless when it comes to offensive play. Pardew has had soon 30 months, and I think what many people worry about is that last season was very obviously down to a lot of individual brilliances at different periods of the season. Personally I don't think it was a lot due to Pardew, he obviously had a hand in it, but I think he's rode a lucky wave of different players surging at different times last season and his past records at other clubs agrees with my opinion.

Don't agree with a lot in that post. First of all, not seeing the larger picture? What in the hell suggests that Pardew will turn this club around? Does he make us play good football? No. Does he win us more games than we draw or lose? No. Is he capable of imposing a style of play instead of changing that after every 90minutes only to revert back to his boring long balls after a while? No. Has he made our team even capable of competing against anyone except key players? No. I'm sorry but to me it seems like you like Pardew too much for me to take your view as balanced. You are blaming lady luck for not being in our side when it's clear that both the Stoke and Reading game Pardew was highly culpable for our losses. Against Reading especially, I haven't witnessed worse substitutions in a competitive game in a long time. Also all teams in this league have a hectic schedule at some point and you just can't blame that. If anything he rested our best players for most of the Europa League campaign and yet blamed our following losses on that. My biggest worry is that after soon 30 months in charge I haven't seen anything from him suggesting he will get us playing beautiful football or have any attack minded tactics set out. For me he is to dependant on individual brilliance and lacks quality as a manager. I don't see this club progressing with him at the helm but obviously hope I'm proved wrong.

    Start him against Benfica
  10. He isn't s***, to be fair. Largely done a very underwhelming job, though. Well he's not a good manager that's for sure.

No, sacking him now would be daft. Even I know that much. Then I agree with what you are saying, just your timing is off. People can't see past their noses, end of the season when all we've got to show for it is a bottom half finish and our top players being linked to other clubs, then people will start looking at the bigger picture. Oddly enough, it seems to me that looking at the bigger picture is precisely why people are finding it reasonable to see Pardew start another season. If you back Pardew for another season, you deserve to see us relegated. f*** me. I know I know, in lala land Pardew is a great manager, shame not all of us live there. Thought you weren't going to respond to me any more after being outed as a fascist sympathiser? Come on, even if you believe 100% that Pardew isn't the right man (which I know you do, I get it), it's absolutely mental to slam everyone who believes the manager should be given another chance after the two seasons so far. p*ss taking aside, I couldn't think of anything more stupid than backing him for another season. I'm dreading him being here, it actually makes me feel sick the thought of the smarmy f***er standing there talking bollocks trying to blame everyone else for his failings while the likes of yourself and others on here finally start to understand we've outgrown him and he's not only holding us back but dragging us down. By then though it'll be another season we will have to write off and another year some several class players will miss out on good football and being competitive and those that are left and haven't want to move on finally do. That's the future under Pardew, can't believe some people are so willingly ready to embrace it, even people such as yourself who only try to look at the positives in any situation. BTW don't start with the 'i get it' bollocks, i was trying to say leave off pardew for now and wait till the end of the season. I agree with a lot of your sentiments. I think that it's vital the club takes a new direction come this summer. I think we have outgrown Pardew as a team and I am happy for what ''he'' did last season. But this season has been as bad if not worse than the Souness era and that is just unimaginable in my head. I've been disgusted by so many performances by us that I don't think he should be our manager as I have almost no faith in him. One of the biggest reason for me not liking him is that he's a charming guy who's managing ability is overshadowed by personality. He has done very little since he arrived at the club to prove he's a top class manager, the fifth place came after an incredible start to the season where the team just couldn't concede and then when we were declining he just threw on Benny and our season turned again. Without Ben Arfa there's no doubt in my mind that we would've been a mid-table team once again. This is my opinion and obviously it isn't shared by everyone in here, and I understand some want to give him another season. I just can't bear another season of terribly unexciting weekends. I mean even European football has been disappointing footballing wise and we could've easily gone out to Metalist or Anzhi. And I could easily seen people calling for his head just like me had Cisse not scored three times in the space of a month in the 90+ minute.
  12. For Hillsborough? Thatcher's dead They surely wouldn't be so daft... Would they?... Wouldn't think so. Paying our "respects" to one right wing loony should be enough for Sunday.

I'd play Tiote out of that lot against the top sides and possibly Marveaux against sides of lower end of the table. Anita for me is nothing more than a versatile bench player at the moment, I hope he'll do better but he just hasn't shown that much this season to pick him ahead of Marv or Tiote imo.

If anything him at fullback has been better than him at midfield. He isn't imposing enough, and I will stick my neck out and say it's not due to the physical nature of the league, it's due to him not having adapted well enough to play fast football. His first touch is at times terrible and he plays so many wrong passes because it feels like he rushes stuff when he notices he doesn't have enough time. If he can adapt to the league then I can definitely see him being a success but as of now the £8m price tag is looking more down to versatility than quality in my opinion at least.
  16. Definitely agree, like I said, come august I hope he's on the bench as I see him and Marveaux as the perfect substitutes for Benny and a new winger.
  17. I can't believe some of the posts on here. Slagging Gouffran out? As for not taking players on Ronaldo, I agree, but he's never been that type of player apparently either and I think he does quite well when he gets to cross the ball as it usually falls somewhere in front of goal and not in the crowd like Jonas and Santons left footed crosses.

Me and Mick are two who I'd see many call anti-Pardew. FWIW I think Pardew has shown twice this season something I've been asking for and it's to try and change the team to go for a win. Both times he did it and both times we won. I just hope he learns from this because nothing this season except few glimpses suggests he's a good enough manager to bring us silverware or back to where we were under SBR. That's my view of the whole thing and I'll respect those who don't agree, and I hope unlike what Ronaldo is trying to suggest that I am wrong.
  19. That avatar is incredible here. It really is isn't it. Easily the best thing in this forum.
  20. Nice goal. Wish he'd been a nice guy and we had signed ihm.
