In the end Pardew did the right thing in not playing Ben Arfa today because it was against a ruthless Wolves and we got 3 points. However, Barfa will have to start every single game when fit from now on. He'll be the difference between mid-table and a possible adventure in Europe next season. Think Marveaux will be hugely important to, but just not to the same degree as I think we'll see him rotate a bit with Jonas and Obertan.

Think it will be interesting to see how Sczezny and Krul develop. Both seem to have the shot stopping ability and talent to become great goalkeepers. But neither of them are anywhere near Reina.

Reina is the leagues best goalkeeper, end of story.

He'll replace Obertan in the next match, given a free role a bit like Freddie Ljungberg for Arsenal couple of years back. Obertan is probably the only player who due to form deserves to be bench, although his speed does give us a threat in counter attack.

If I was Ben Arfa I would rage if Best was starting ahead of me for more than 2-3 games due to me coming back. There is absolutely no way in hell Pardew shall let Ben Arfa sit on the bench if he's completely fit according to team doctors. I expect better players to get better treament in terms of playing time and so on. You don't make a player sit on the bench if he's capable of winning you games with a second of brilliance.
