Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season
J7 replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Without even joking here, is there a way we can get him back? We are fucked with these three 'strikers'. -
Ive been to one England game. Against Germany in 2007. Left with 10 mins to go. The fans around me were all cockney wankers, moaning about the overpaid and booing everything they could see. Mainly fans of London/Southern lower league clubs all bitter. One of the other reasons my interest went down.
-
I know there's an England thread, but this is probably a bit different and I want to find fans views on their country. I know we havent had an international in a while too. Just asking because the internationals will be coming up soon, and im thinking of watching England with Carroll up top and I don't really want to. Its not just bitterness, but my interest in international football has been going down for some time now. I used to be proud to see Newcastle players in the squad, now I would rather they werent called up. Whether that be because of potential injuries or the media attention. It will probably get worse when Redknapp becomes manager, because he will. I think all interest in England will leave me at that point. Supporting a Redknapp managed England will be just annoying. What are others opinions on their country? I don't really expect many, if any to tick the last option.

All hype, no substance. Hype or not it doesn't matter, they have a far larger fan base, pull in far more revenue p/a and ultimatly 99% of players would choose them over us. I don't really think thats the issue here.
-
Totally agree. No captain at at Premier League clubs should be doing something like that. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate him for it, he's a Liverpool fan, but he shouldn't be our captain.
-
Hope he didn't say it, but if he did, strip him of being captain. Its Joey Barton who goes around every player before the kick off. Give it to him.
-
Well at least we have out first choice strikeforce available.
-
He can be good on occasions, but the thing is, he's injured half the time. Infact he even looked like he got injured in the last game. Without him in the team we are absolutly fucked. Nobody else we have up front is anywhere near Premier League quality.
-
Thats what gets me. Its all about mentality. I agree with Merlin, and Alex Ferguson who has said similar (Newcastle always sell their best players), but I don't see why it needs to be the case. We were on par with Liverpool in 2004 with pretty similar resources. They went forward, we went back. All about decisions made at the top. So frustrating.

How the fuck are we a winner? We went into the window hoping to keep our best players, buy a stiker to compliment Carroll and maybe bringing in left back cover and a winger. We leave the window having lost our only good striker, signing an arsehole on loan in a position we are overloaded, and we already had Ben Arfa. Money is nothing if you don't spend it. I don't actually think £35million is a bad deal for Carroll, what is bad is the timing, and the fact that we've brought nobody in atall to replace him. We went into the window needing a striker, we leave having sold one and let another go on loan. We look a shambles again to potential targets. Outmaneuvered, unprepared and embarrassed.
-
"Ah look, we tried" - Newcastle United, every fuckin window.
-
Its not exactly difficult to say no. They make it sound like hes running around with Carroll in a bag hoping Kenny doesnt find him and steal him.

That's because we've done good business already. We have a stronger squad now than we did three weeks ago and have even more wedge in the bank to be thrown around in the summer. £30m for someone with less than 20 PL goals ffs. The world's gone mad. Look at the money you've spent on absolute s**** since Quinn arrived. It must be hitting nearly £100million and you havent got anyone anywhere near the standard of Carroll, Tiote, Barton or Ben Arfa. Money isnt everything, having the players at your club is. Is that post a wind up? It's amazing to think that with all of these superior players, and our injury crisis, that you're not seven points ahead of us rather than seven points behind. Steve Bruce has turned a profit of around £10m on transfers since he took over. Again though, don't let facts cloud your judgement. You're 7 points ahead of us because it took us a little while to get on our feet in this league. We had some poor home performances early doors. We also have some weaker players in other positions and don't have a big squad. You also have a good manager.

We have rejected the bid according to SSN. We have descibed the bid as poultry or something.
-
If it starts going beyond £30million, and as long as all the money was to be reinvested in the team in the summer, then I would think about it. Don't think it would be a great move for him though. He could do better than them.

Shola's supposed to be world class in training, it doesnt mean much. Many brilliant players have been awful trainers too. -
His armband implied he was a red Torres Torres "You'll never walk along" it said Torres Torres The Scousers thought he was their man, but all along he had a plan. ...Fernando Torres, Chelsea's number 9

Neither had Best before the West Ham game to be fair, and that didn't go too bad. -
Mark Bright being destroyed tonight by many reguarding Michel Salgado. He's called me an 'egg' for having the audacity to disagree with him. I replied with this: @MarkBrighty Even as a pundit, he comments on Champions League night for Sky, you on the other hand are only reeled out by the BBC for the African Nations Cup and the Womans FA Cup final. Your lack of respect is astounding! No bite as of yet.

Fair enough. Hadn't seen it before.

Leaked by the current Porto manager a few weeks ago. Quite interesting. Notice the Boumsong comments! If this has been posted on here before, just lock the thread, but I hadnt noticed it so. http://www.bragafut.com/artigos/art18.pdf
