Martinez would be great. I would expect he would want to stay at Swansea though.

Blaming one person would be stupid. Loads of people have fucked this club up and havent done their jobs correctly. It could have been turned round on a number of occasions though, but the wrong decision has been made again and again. Overall though, it has to be Mike Ashley. The mismanagement this season alone has been staggering. Someone with half a brain could have kept us in this league by make the correct management decisions.

My 'away record' is also shocking. All the away games ive been to: 3 defeats at Wigan 3 defeats at Bolton 1 defeat at Liverpool 1 defeat at Man Utd 1 defeat at Derby 1 defeat at Sunderland (plus one win in the Dabizas game, but I was in home end) 1 defeat at Celtic (friendly) 1 draw at Leeds (home end) 1 draw at Blackburn 1 draw at Carlisle (friendly, but I thought the horrific record would end that day) 1 defeat FA Cup Semi at Cardiff 1 extra time win at Coventry!!!! The highlight. Probably a good job I cant afford to go. Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle (Xabi Alonso halfway line) Middlesbrough 1-0 Newcastle Wigan 1-0 Newcastle Man U 6-0 Newcastle Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle Blackburn 3-0 Newcastle Bolton 1-0 Newcastle 17 Against. 0 For. Dear god! I feel like a lucky charm just because ive seen a goal!

I know quite a few will be going, but theres only 3000 tickets, so for those not going, where will you be watching it? I suppose the main options will be at home and by yourself, or at the pub with your mates. Thought about staying at home and locking myself away, but ive changed my mind and will now watch it in the local in Tweedmouth. There should be plenty toon fans there, but I expect a few mackems and some Liverpool and Man Utd glory hunters ready to ridicule our failure. If we survive, it will be the best Bank Holiday ever, if we don't then it will be one shit night. What are others doing?

Think we would struggle to tbh. I think West Brom and Boro will be better equipped in that the majority of their players will stay and they won't have as much of a turn around as us. I would also expect the Welsh team to be up there. I also think we should hope for Sheffield United to win the playoffs as I would expect them to be stronger next season than Burnley. I hope our crowd don't get frustrated if we're struggling in around midtable early season. We will need to adapt and then hope to push on when we are used to the level and have settled as a team. Then push for the playoffs. Obviously if we go down and start winning straight away, ignore the above, but at the moment I can't see it.

Boyd would be awful in the Premiership I reckon. Hardly moves until he gets the ball. Great finisher against the shite teams, but thats about it.

Would like to see McCarthy come here from Hamilton Accies.

Michael Owen - Would you be disappointed if he stayed?

Yes. He's on too much money and doesnt warrent it. The media are also up his arse and whenever he is on the bench its always a massive story. Puts too much pressure on the manager. Burley claimed last night that the fans would be booing his substitution if Shearer wasnt manager ffs! Hasnt got a clue. Think we would be better with someone else. -
People keep telling me I assume we will beat Boro. I don't though, im just chuffed its in our hands again. We beat Boro, we're out the relegation zone. In our own hands now. Plus, theres nothing wrong with a bit of confidence. Without confidence our teams stand no chance.

Big teams that have been relegated in recent times?
J7 replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
Think that was for financial reasons. They were one of the best teams in the league before then. I went to see them in the Hungarian Cup Final in 2005. Got beat 5-1 off Matav Sopron and had two men sent off which was funny. Sopron dont even exist anymore. The Ferencvaros fans were monkey chanting their own black player. http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v3354/38/124/666997914/n666997914_2519675_7478034.jpg -
smith trying to do the essien shadow job? he'd be off the pitch within minutes Probably! Think somebody needs to try though as thats about the only way to stop him short of busting the cunt.
-
Get Smith to follow Gerrard around all day and make his life hell. Get Bassong to crunch Torres early doors. And someone else to stop Alonso.
-
have you had a look round this place for that sort of delusion. do your own thinking, don't let the sun do it for you. He's probably one of those plastic Liverpool fans from up here who still buys The Sun.
-
Where abouts on the A1? Probably try and avoid it if possible.
-
Ive heard of loads of mackems that will be in the away end tonight. Sad cunts!
-
I can't wait for this game now. Make or break. I think we will either demolish them or get beat 2-0 with a shocking performance.
-
To be fair, this kind of shit is everywhere. People are desperate for us to go down and people that have nothing to do with us or any of our rivals totally hate us. I quite like it to be fair. The "everyones second team" shite was a bit annoying. Heres an example from tonight: http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105640

When you go to Anfield, you go in the Everton pubs near Goodison and vice versa. Ah right. Good stuff. Cheers
