If he goes 4-4-2 at Sunderland and that happens again, like it probably would with that formation, then people will start to get restless. It isn't rocket science playing to your strengths.
-
True. As many said at the time, they never intended on selling the stadium rights on. It was just PR lies to keep quiet the thicker more gullible fans.
-
It's hardly a wonder our turnover level is stagnant with the type of brand image the club have created. Cheap and nasty. If I owned a popular company, the last last place I would want it being advertised would be next to a Sports Direct banner in the Wonga Stadium.
-
His main point on the first goal the other night was how it was a terrible finish by Shola. Not sure what he was going on about tbh.
-
Ive got someone else to try and get me one too. Don't really know them but its the brother of someone at work. He's got the same name as someone travelling in our group though so the same name is on the seasonticket/passport details as on the accommodation, even though theyre different people, and neither are me.

Should have started further down the leagues and proved himself.
-
Full strength please. The team seem to need practice playing together, and the 'rest' doesn't seem to be doing them much good anyway.
-
I doubt anyone expects that tbh. Im happy with all of the results bar Villa. The performances however have been poor and we arent making the most of the talent in our squad this season. How you can make the above ridiculous statement is beyond me.
-
Its our own fault the squad is too thin. Fuckin annoys me when injuries are used as an excuse. We only needed 2 or 3 more in the summer to go in with a big enough squad. Not £10million signings either, just another player who's main position is centre back would have been nice.

Pure frustration most of the time, unless Ben Arfa's on the ball.

Llambais going on about Ferguson and Wenger and their long term management has annoyed me a bit. It's not as if they've had the same coaches and backroom staff over their whole management. What if Pardew wanted to freshen up his coaches a year or two down the line, they're all on 8 year contracts too. Stupid.

It would be interesting to compare how many games some of our players have played compared to other teams in Europe. Some of the Chelsea players just seem to play every game.
-
Wickham needs to leave immediately. Defiantly. Could be a good player but the mackems are destroying him.
-
Think it was pretty obvious they weren't up for sale at the time. Loads fall for it though, as they do each and every time.

Newcastle United vs Norwich City - Sunday 23/09/12 @ 3pm

It's not that much about the system, though. It is. -
Theres only 3 or 4 players left at home that could have played anyway, which unfortunately says alot about our squad and the last transfer window.
-
Wasn't really expecting a ticket at 5000, so no chance at this allocation. Anyone any idea if you will need to send a copy of your passport and travel plans alongside your season ticket? Might rule out a few folk who use other peoples season tickets to get to the more popular away games.

League position attracts and keeps hold of players unfortunately, though. Though I agree. Really? I reckon most players would rather retire with a few medals than some 5th placed finishes. The players we want are wanting European football though (obviously CL first priority), that's mainly brought via League positions. Also, we win say the FA cup one year, it's not as big an attraction to players as it's unlikely we'll win it again. They'te not going to go, 'well Im going to Newcastle to win the FA cup'. Not that I advocate it but it's surely true. It's good for us 9the fans) and for the players at the coub at the time of winning it, doubt it's as much of an attraction as finishing 4th to prospective buys. The attraction is joining a club that can win things and are going places. If a player is here not expecting/trying to win competitions, then they're either unambitious, or we're their stepping stone.

It would have to be Europe wide to have any effect, and strict rules on extras beyond the basic wage. A better idea would be limiting the percentage of turnover to be spent on wages, then also some rules on ticket prices so clubs don't just try and increase turnover by putting up ticket prices. You would probably just get people like the City owners sponsoring them for £200million a year or something though.
-
Doesn't sound like there's much chance of a ticket before I get there then, so its relying on touts im afraid.

The behaviour at Boro wasn't great in the Championship game. Our train from Darlo was basically wrecked and folk shouting peado abuse at middle aged woman out on a day shopping isn't really great.
-
Rickard I think. Didn't have a teamsheet though so was struggling with some names.
-
Was at the game. Thought Berwick were the better team overall and kept Campbell out of the game for the most part.
-
Eurostar still cheaper now than when I booked. Mates just booked for £142 return from Berwick.
