  1. To be fair, I think most of us talk about football with other fans away from the football forum and Twitter. There’s a good section of the people I know starting to ask questions and think about who might replace him. I wouldn’t say it’s nowhere near.
  2. I’m not having that personally. They’re rightly criticised for not strengthening in the summer, but this manager has basically had two new England international full backs (who’ve been a couple of our best players) and Tonali an Italian international starter introduced over the past few months. Two things can be true at the same time.
  3. We’ve played well three or four times, and one of them was against Chelsea reserves. Even Wimbledon was shite. If the manager wants to stay, he needs to figure out what we’re trying to do. Given the money spent and the players in the squad, this is far from good enough. Im not saying ‘Eddie Out’ but the board wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t starting to look elsewhere.

    St James' Park

Yeah pretty humiliating that day, though probably the best individual performance I’ve seen against us live at SJP.

    Match Atmosphere

Awful last night, even before West Ham scored.
  6. He supports Man Utd, so he isn’t leaving for his ‘boyhood club’. 😂

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

True. Though I’d never have believed we’d spend the whole summer chasing Marc Guehi and then put a desperate bid in for the Forest boy on deadline day.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Our targets seem so obvious now it’s getting boring. We’re like a 15 year old playing football manager.
  9. There’s no chance that the owners are going to let Howe be in charge of everything. He goes before Mitchell.
  10. Like I said, I think it’s a bit over the top, but we’re only 5 points better off than skint Everton over 38 games, have had dreadful away form being explained away as needing the crowd behind the team and have failed in the crunch matches like Milan at home and Man Utd away. We’ve got numerous players now we’ve spent £40m plus on and have spent hundreds of millions. Cup performances have gone back to what we saw in yesteryear. Blackburn and Wimbledon were very poor performances and we went out to City without making it a game.
  11. Like pretty much everyone does. “Isaks a bit off form eh?” “WHAT, can you not remember Rivière?!!!”
  12. Absolute drivel. If we draw with Bournemouth, are we not to say anything negative to sum up the performance because we got shagged off Carlisle in 1982 or Scunthorpe in 2009. Don’t talk shite. You compare performances now with what has come in recent times.
  13. It’s not. I personally think it’s a bit over the top, but there’s clearly context when making a comment like that. You come across pedantic, like you’re trying to win the internet or something.
  14. Surely you’re able to grasp the difference in expectations, can take into account how much money has been spent, and you know that you can compare performances with that of games in more recent times. McFaul ffs.

    Dan Burn

Anyone else gives up like he did for the Jackson goal and they’d be getting pelters.
  16. Sick of hearing ‘it’s getting better’ and it’s all going to click. Click to what? Are we going to get the solid defence of two years ago? The free scoring team of last season? The team who were smashing teams from the off? We look dodgy as fuck at the back. The midfield three don’t look like they know their roles. The set pieces are as bad as I’ve ever seen. And we must be the tamest team in the first 20/25mins of games in the league. I don’t want him to go, but I find myself just hoping for an improvement without any confidence of it coming or any idea what is going to change. We don’t seem to be especially good at anything at the moment.
  17. A lot more controlled towards half time. Set pieces still terrible.
  18. It’s absolutely shite this. Flat midfield three and Burn chasing people about until he actually needed to be on Jackson.
  19. Do what you like. I don’t think your opinion is a ‘grass is green’ one. I saw him introduced and the form of the team go from relegation form to top half form. There were other reasons, don’t get me wrong, but in my opinion there’s too too much, you’re either class or you’re shit.
  20. He did exactly what we needed of him. We went from relegation form to top half form with him in the team. I thought he was important to the way we played and it was obvious as early as Leeds away.

    Alexander Isak

I don’t blame him, but we’re going to have to start selling a player or two at some point to progress overall, and not just the shite.
  22. That’s what was happening in injury time on Saturday to be fair. Mind, ‘Eddie Howes Black and White Army’ seems to be the go to song when the atmosphere is struggling.
  23. Where’s that from? ‘with how it directly led to…’ 😂 No it didn’t. Their panicked reaction to it did.
