They’ve not got a choice. We’ve already pissed points away by not having a striker. Beyond the finances of finishing mid-table, watch who all leaves next summer without Europe to come.

Because we went for targets clubs with more money than us also wanted. It was entirely foreseeable. After our first few windows and a couple of DoFs, I’m quite frankly amazed at how obvious our targets have been and the lack of scouting that seems to have taken place. Obvious target after obvious target.

We’re going to have to overpay for someone. Our own fault, but not having a striker will cost us tens of millions anyway in prize money and likely CL progression. Not to mention a lot of outgoings next summer. We’ve already thrown away 5 points by not having one.

Exactly. We’re about to go into the Champions League. It would be a complete disaster to mess that up, and be playing catch up in the league. We can’t just throw away a season.

My mate got one for PSG after exhausting all options too. Sure it was near £250, and again what looked like a fake name. I encouraged him to report it after using it, but he wouldn’t. Let’s not pretend the ‘promises’ are anything to do with Isaks behaviour. He’s using it as an excuse because he wants to go to Liverpool. I don’t think the Wissa situation is the same personally. He’s still training, he’s nearly 29 and it’s probably his last big chance to play for a club of our stature and in the CL. It also does sound like he had an actual agreement he could leave to a CL club for €30m. If he was shit, Brentford would get rid of him.

The timing also sucks given the main story tonight is Isak and not the winners at the PFA awards. I suspect his agent put it out though.
