Just looking through our seasons results and 4 times we've played Hull and failed to win any of them. How shocking is that? Still inconcievable to me that Hull could get something from Man U irrespective of what team Fergie fields. The only question I wonder about is, can we draw or better at Villa? We have to, but I just can't see this lot raising their game for anything longer than 10 - 15 minutes before collapsing again. Miserable pessimist that I am.

You want to take a look at a map, or try Google Earth. Via Edinburgh IS the more direct route. How come no-one uses the ferry, Bergen or Stavanger - Newcastle?

I think as news of this gets round someone will bail them out, anonymously probably. Considering the money in the EPL alone I will be quite disappointed if someone doesn't step in and help out. Great PR opportunity for the club though, they should just write them a cheque now.

There's too many in the current team have just not shown up come match day, time to blood a few of the reserves. Ordinarily you would want every ounce of experience out there but their confidence is ripped to shreds and as such their experience is useless to them, at least some of the reserves will be hungry and passionate.

Shearer would have had to be outperforming a certain gentleman from Nazereth to have got this lot going in the limited timeframe he had. Never underestimate how much individual confidence and team spirit contribute to getting a result. Half this team had been slowly destroyed in both aspects way back to when Allardyce left under a cloud. New players arrived into an air of pessimism and despondency (an underlying current is just as effective in its outcome), not difficult to work out what happens next. Shearer is the only ray of hope to come along since then and, given time, I think he'll develop into a very useful manager with his own team. Let's just wait until the end of the season, and I mean 2010, before we start throwing stones.
