  1. Pardew would undoubtedly drop him for this game, lets see what the clone does.

    John Carver

Remy only played 5 games out of those last 16 though. Betvictor will give you 40/1, don't think there's any chance but its worth a insurance bet I suppose, £50 on and a nice £2,050 if the worst happens

    Sunderland

Well he did, not sure he still will though. Anyone seen him in that mickey mouse league he's been playing in recently?

    Remy Cabella

Aye Julien Laurens talking a lot of sense there, except maybe expecting too much of Carver if he thinks he'll give Cabella a really chance now.
  5. Yanga-Mbiwa has played 17 of the 20 games needed to trigger the transfer and Roma have 4 more games in January.
  6. Or maybe they just don't want to have to trigger the clause in January? Obviously they rate him.
  7. Keeps being repeated on here, but why?, what news have I missed that's making people so convinced?
  8. Dunno Ronnie, all he has to do is keep us up and Ashley is happy. I think we will struggle badly if he's kept on but the amount of dross will see us safe. I'm 100% sure that if Carver did as s*** as Pardew has over the last couple of years he wouldn't have stayed in the job. Hasn't got the smarmy bullshitting skills Pardew has nor can he keep his temper when criticism comes his way. I'm not so sure, it appears all Ashley wants us to keep us in the league at minimal expense. If Carver can do that the job will be his imo I actually think a manager on a lesser contract than Pardew may very well have gone. But either way I don't believe Carver could take the pressure and stay quiet like Pardew. He'd lose it and his emotions would either see him do something that would force a sacking or he'd resign. That's if he was on the kind of run Pardew had in his last couple of years and under the same kind of pressure "SackCarver.com". I don't think we'll ever find out though.

  10. Carver isn't getting the job permanently IMO and no result on Saturday will change that. But continued losses may persuade them they can't keep him even till the end of the season, so I won't be bothered at all if we do lose. Wonder how long its going to be before I can get behind the team 100% again?
  11. Haven't lost to Southampton at home since 1997, since then 9 wins and 2 draws.

Beachball did it in far less games as well, get the lad on up front Gus!

    Sunderland

Upgrade on Jozy. That's not saying anything though. Arguably any striker ever to play in the Premier League is an upgrade on Altidore as far as goals.

    Sunderland

He's 9th in the all time British Premier League all time scorers, 14th overall. Arguably the best ever English scorer though apparently even though the man 9 places above him in number 1 is English
  15. Not sure why we'd sell him to them at a reduced fee in the summer really. He's been great in Italy this season and if anything his value will have increased from what we agreed with Roma last summer. I'm sure other sides, especially in Italy, will have taken notice and more teams will be interested as well. Still 3 and a half years left on his contract here.
  16. Jesus I thought we were stingy, Roma are on another level if this is true. One of their best performers all season and they're pulling a trick like this to try to save a million or so, obviously won't work either. I mean only a total mong would believe he's just lost his place in the teams. Not a chance Ashley will let himself get played either. Especially when the main driving force behind Yanga-Mbiwa going to Roma is now gone.
  17. Likely more about gauging what the thoughts of the squad are at the moment rather than "Colo, who should we get as head coach? ". Would also hope Coloccini would have more brains than to want Carver anyway BTW.
  18. Not a chance the majority of the players would be behind Carver, utter bollocks. Also see no reason why Carr would accept Carver considering he's doing exactly the same as the previous cunt with his signings (Cabella, Anita ect on the bench and only brought on as a sub or started in the most difficult of circumstances).
  19. Also if we bring in a shit foreign manager at least he won't have the same blind media support "Pards" had. Still Garde please!
  20. Biased? The guy is kind to Pardew in that article man, too kind IMO. He did. But that wasn't his problem. He had full control over team selections, tactics ect. The excuse that Cabaye was sold wore thin a long time ago and didn't mean he had to all of a sudden play Dan fucking Gosling every game, he tied his own hands.
  21. We would be ok, but probably get dragged into the battle at some point with Carver.
  22. Definitely IMO, but Palace on a "new manager run" could still finish above us, which would be sickening.
  23. Probably offered him buttons. I read recently our wage bill hasn't changed in 7 years despite all the extra TV cash. To be fair our wage bill 7 years ago was a fucking joke, one of the very highest in the league (4th or 5th highest I think) despite being right down the league, paying Michael fucking Own £100k a week. Last time they were compared (Premier League wages) ours were still the 8th highest in the league despite being slightly lower than 7 years ago
  24. I hope to god they do remove Tiote like, fucking liability, costs us so much possession and puts everyone under pressure. Obviously the other two would be very unwelcome, mental to sell them obviously (especially Sissoko).
