He won't get a new contract, he can be replaced by better for no fee and on lower wages.

We're too good for loans?, our two first choice strikers are on loan
-
Doubt it like, think he'll be relatively anonymous and we'll win 2-0.

Bastard, had Rosicky to score first and either 2-1 or 3-1 to Arsenal at 75/1, thought I was going to cash in when Rosicky scored so early.
-
Had Gerrard as first goal scorer at 11/1
-
Should have been a second yellow.

Don't remember saying you did. Like I said, we were shit, but no matter how shit we were I think its still a fair comment to say we had some bad luck. IMO we should have had at least one penalty, wether people think we "deserved to win" or not. Just want to reiterate we were utter shit, not claiming otherwise
-
Not true, it depends if it was classed as accidental or not and also if it's seen. Werther its seen or not has nothing to do with which way the decision should go, that's human error. The handballs possibly being accidental is a fair argument, but "we didn't play well enough to deserve a penalty" is complete bollocks. Which was the point I was disagreeing with. I think we were shit, I can't even be bothered to talk about how fucking sick I am at the shit rigid workman like side Pardew is obsessed with putting out, or how boring and predictable his tactic and substitutions are But no matter how apathetic I find myself when it comes to our current side I still can't stand it when people talk about deserving decisions, no such fucking thing.

Definitely, we should play to a higher standard, let the likes of Chelsea get decisions that win them games whether they deserve it or not, we should stick to a strong morale code. If we don't deserve the points then we don't want them, after all successful sides only ever win because they deserve it! Missing points seems to be a specialism of yours, good stuff m8. What point am I missing? That we were shit? That's a point I'd agree with, but not if its also claimed that decisions in the game shouldn't have been given because we didn't "deserve them". Since when do sides need to play well to deserve decisions from the refreree?

We were f***ing awful for 90 minutes today, a couple of debatable decisions doesn't change that. We absolutely deserved to lose. This is one for the "pet hates" thread for me. Does not hide the fact it should not have been a goal to them and other than their disallowed goal, we had the best two chances (Cisse both). Granted in injury-time Krul wouldn't have been in their area at 0-0. We didn't deserve to win, but neither did they particularly. By the same token, "had some awful luck there" is an absolute load of bollocks. You show almost nothing in a game like we did today and you can't complain if you get beat, I've always said that. So if you don't threaten the opposition enough the referee shouldn't give you free kicks or penalties? Which Uefa ruling does this come under? If you play like shit for 90 minutes and the opposition defender handles the ball in his own penalty area that's a penalty. How deserving the opposition are of that penalty based on their past performance doesn't come in to it. My point's so ridiculously simple, if you do fuck-all to warrant winning a game then you can't complain when you lose it. I don't care about anything else, if you play that game where you and the opposition attempt to out-bore each other then don't start bitching when you come unstuck, particularly on a day like today where we had the better players on the pitch. Refereeing decisions and stuff like that don't come into it, if you're not trying to be out of sight versus the worst side in the league by half time then you deserve what's coming to you. And we weren't trying to do that. My points even more simple, if the opposition handle the ball in their own area its a penalty. The performance of either team doesn't come in to it.

Anyone know if The Star next to the 02 Academy usually shows 3pm games? Bloke behind the bar claims they do but not sure if he's just saying it so we buy some drinks
-
They'll want to recoup it, but may have to sell for less if they're relegated.
-
Only just turned the Tottenham game on, how different is this Benfica side to the one we played last season?

If we offer him more money he'll be here, if someoe else does he'll go there. Assuming we'll offer him what we're currently paying (£80k) I can see plenty of Premier League clubs unwilling/unable to pay that. But obviously plenty who can and likely will. Lets face it he'll very likely go elsewhere. We aren't known as being a club that pays higher wages than others. Quite the opposite, in fact. We aren't known for big wages no, but there are still plenty of clubs who spend less than us on wages and plenty who are very unlikely to beat an offer of £80k per week (no point in offering him less than we're paying him now after all). Really just depends on whether the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham or Chelsea come in, if so we've got no chance. Like I said he'll probably go elsewhere.

The keeper deliberately got out of the way of Podolski's shot "fuck that, too hard, it'll hurt!".
-
Is anyone here serious about wanting us to lose either of our next two games? I mean I know we aren't exactly going places, but I just couldn't bring myself to want us to lose just because it might help Sunderland go down. Fuck Sunderland I'm sure they can handle relegation on their own.

Aye and he can still manage to shit all over players who may have their careers ended by similar injuries out of sheer stubborn pigheadedness, wonderful man IMO. Still a better club owner than Ashley though
-
He definitely is yeah, as well as being a lying tosser.

Whelan actually gives a shit about Football and Wigan though
