  1. Right, and they aren't facts, you've just admitted that to Cajun EDIT: Ok I won't reply to your last post and we can get back on topic.
  2. Sorry. I didn't know you had copies of his contract. where have you been the last few months? He's probably been on earth, where "facts" in the media should shouldn't be taken at face value. He asked why we are talking about losing Ba It's pretty obvious isn't it? Ok, I assumed you were responding to his his comment about the specifics of Ba's contract.
  3. You do not have to subscribe to the train of thought to read or analyse the connotations of the piece But if you were of the view that all information attained through the media was was falsified, i fail to see what motive you would have to post in this thread. Everything the media says is false?, who said that then? I'm going to assume you're not even serious soon and stop responding to you It is an interpretation of your posts. You mean misinterpretation.
  4. Facts in the media? I've never heard Pardew say there's a £7m release clause (some media outlets reckon its £10m BTW), its seems pretty clear there's some kind of release clause but who knows exactly how much it is or what its based on. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/02/13/article-1356576-0D27AC1D000005DC-750_634x404.jpg EDIT: More apt image used. King Shola??

I'm going to assume you're not even serious soon and stop responding to you But surely people should be allowed to interpret information as they see fit. Not to adhere to your dictation of what constitutes fact. Yeah you're free to believe anything you read, and I'm free to tell you its not actually a fact just because you believe it.
  6. Facts in the media? Are you for real? I've never heard Pardew say there's a £7m release clause (some media outlets reckon its £10m BTW), its seems pretty clear there's some kind of release clause but who knows exactly how much it is or what its based on. Pardew accepted there was a clause, whilst wide spread reporting at both local and national level means... Nothing? You didn't read my post properly did you? The £7m bit... Oh please... Like I said not all media outlets say its £7m and that says nothing about what the clause is exactly. You clearly hadn't read my post properly.
  7. I'm here to read rumours, I'm not here to believe anything I'm told no matter what. I might ask you what you're doing on a discussion forum if you're incapable of reading posts properly by the way. That's twice now you've managed to either completely miss my point or misinterpret it.

Really?, he's shit AND not very good? http://www.demotivationalposters.org/image/demotivational-poster/0807/you-dr-phil-help-demotivational-poster-1216112831.jpg
  13. I completely disagree here, his technical ability is what makes him the best in the world by a considerable distance. La Masia is also a mute point, unless you believe technical ability is purely nature as opposed to a mix of nature and nurture, which I don't I agree with mole, some players have great technical ability, great skill, some have great work rate ect, but what makes Messi a step above is that he has everything. Messi is legion and Ben Arfa's the skill/flair/acceleration part of him without the rest

As long as we beat Liverpool and Chelsea/Tottenham both lose I couldn't give a shit about the rest of the results.
  15. Best post in this thread. We've had some right humpings off this lot and some on here are totally over confident of a result. They've got a lot of players who'll cause us problems. We've been shit against Liverpool away, but we've done ok at home (5 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses in the last 10).

    Hatem Ben Arfa

That would be the last straw for me like (as far as wanting Pardew as any kind of long term manager, obviously he should be here for the short term), its a mistake no decent manager should repeat this often.

Fucking hell in that case they must have been shook to their foundations when Krul and Coloccini signed new deals.
  18. Far from winning against Liverpool I'll be surprised if we don't get beaten comfortably. Liverpool will absolutely dominate possession and while we can get away with giving the ball to poor teams, the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea will murder us IMO. Our best bet is winning the games against lesser teams like Swansea and Bolton. aye, i think liverpool will tear us apart barring them completely losing their minds or someone doing something reckless...suarez & gerrard both starting to play Liverpool aren't a particularly good side. Its only our terrible record against them over the years that makes me think we'll lose the game.
  19. Nothing at all really apart from what we already knew when he signed, that the likes of Llambias would be happy to make a massive profit on him if offered. The Chelsea rumours sound like nothing but idle hack gossip.
  20. I've got them, what do you want to know? Edit It was a stupid question and you're right, the wages were £62.5 million in the 2007 accounts. Cheers, so despite the average Premier League wage increasing by over 60% since 2007 we've managed to actually decrease our wage bill by 15%. I'm sure that just happened by default though eh HTT? Of course our revenue has only increased by 1.5% since 2007 and the average increase in revenue in the Premier League since 2007 is 38%. Still we'd be much worse off now if our revenue and wage bill actually matched the average increases (115m wage bill and £120m revenue). Also this was our first season back, its pretty likely our revenue will increase in our second season back in the top flight, while I wouldn't be surprised to see our costs remain pretty much the same.
  21. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jLlqDrcSYeQ/TQc_oO7oUgI/AAAAAAAACrI/TfJP4oPYxNg/s400/5%2BNewcastle%2BProfit.jpg Just about every source I can find on the net says £62.5m, is there an official PDF somewhere for the 2007 accounts?
  22. That would be a combination of incorrect numbers (wages were actually £62.5m in 2007) and missing some important facts. There were several reasons we lost so much money in 2007. For instance £7.3m had to be spent on paying interest on external loans. £3.2m had to be spent on sacking our manager and staff. £2.9m was spent on refinancing plans and in preparation for various takeovers, none of which happened.
  23. It can look similar if you only post certain numbers, also the wage bill for 2007 was £62.5m: 2007 v 2011 £87m v £88m Turnover £62.5m v £54m Wages £7.3m v £0 interest payable 72% vs 61% wage to turnover ratio £5m of that turnover in 2007 was effectively a loan from MGM which had to be repaid a few months after the period covering the accounts ended due to the casino plan falling through. Also because external debt increased by over £30m in 2007 that meant the following year interest payments would increase to over £10m, making it even harder to not to make a loss, and not increase interest payments even further.
  24. They're fucking nuts that's why.
