  1. Don't think it mentions PIF lawyers specifically unless I missed it. Just says they've had it confirmed from both Qatar and Saudi lawyers that PIF is a separate legal entity.
  2. They can plough money in while following a financial plan that stays within FFP. Newcastle's spending could have been about £160m higher in the last 3 years without breaching FFP and that's with current revenue levels. Using that extra money put in to build the clubs revenue would allow for much bigger spending in the following years.
  3. Absolute nonsense thread. Things like this shouldn't just be accepted and rushed through just to help the mental health of Newcastle fans Hardly say it would be rushed through at this stage though. Absolutely nobody here has a clue about what stage they're at/what they're talking about. If say, the piracy thing is an issue, the WTO ruling on BeoutQ only came out this week The Premier League have had that report for 2-3 weeks according to the Guardian, the ruling has only been made public this week. Even if we accept its a complicated process, that's no reason to claim that someone putting the fans frustration across is nonsense. Why are our fans expected to be quiet and patient while everyone else expresses their views day after day on our club?
  4. Absolute nonsense thread. Things like this shouldn't just be accepted and rushed through just to help the mental health of Newcastle fans How is 7-8 weeks rushed through? What's wrong with someone bringing up the issues this delay is having on the lives of fans and employees at the club? Why is that nonsense? Plenty has been brought up against this takeover that quite frankly had nothing to do with the Premier League, but I notice you had no issue with any of that.
  5. maybe they should but ultimately they're not answerable to fans they're answerable to the 20 premier league clubs Of course. Still think it's worth saying even if it will fall on deaf ears though. Much like a lot of the opposition to the takeover was never going to have a effect on a legal process but was still worth saying.
  6. The Premier League shouldn't give a f*** about the fans of one of its clubs? Of course they should, I mean they very likely don't, but they should. It also needs to be said wether they give a s*** or not. Even more so if they don't actually.
  7. Seems they had this info weeks ago and found it was not worthy of stopping the takeover. The specifics now being made public changes nothing as far as what the Premier League have known for weeks now. Perhaps the specifics of the info now being made so public is making them want to hold off on officially green lighting the new owners until things have died down? Can't think of any other reasons.
  8. BTW is this whole Henry Mauriss thing a Mike Ashley wind up? Described as reclusive and a Tottenham fan, is he a fat cunt by any chance?
  9. That is absolute bollocks that mind, what planet is he on  Nah, its just like when you buy a house and your mortgage company want further details, like pay slips ect. So they go to the guy selling the house and ask him.. Oh hold on that never happens because it wold be fucking ludicrous Aye its bullshit like, don't know who's feeding him that or if he's just making it up, but the fact someone calling himself a journalist can come out with mind numbing rubbish like that is just sad.
  10. By a month? Delay by a month? Why not? They're told that the following week they will receive a important report from the WTO related to the takeover. They'll then wait to get that report before approval. Then they spend a couple of weeks looking into it legally and asking the buyers further questions related to that new info.
  11. Obviously the buyers believed it was close back then. So Caulkin reported that belief. Until it's officially complete, which he never claimed it was, things can change. Like when new unexpected documents are sent to the PL for review for instance.. The PL were likely informed they were going to received that report around that time, which has delayed things.
  12. Only time will tell, think he (and the buyers) know more than you and me to be fair though. If no concrete news this week then I think it’s clear he doesn’t know as much as people, including me think he does. I don't see how unless you think he has a direct source at the Premier League, which I don't think he does. I think it was 4 weeks ago when both Caulkin and Burt were both saying approval was expected "soon", which is likely what the buyers expected at the time. But at the end of the day its down to the Premier League not the buyers. I mean right now, the buyers may think the checks are complete and maybe rightly so. But even if they were at that time, any new info or concerns the Premier League have could mean extra questions are asked, and that will continue until they officially sign it off.
  13. Depends how you define "it". If it's confirmed transfer of funds has started then it's happened. There are no circumstances were it collapses once that starts.
  14. The same day he took control in the first place. Paperwork basically says it never happened..... So how’s this going to change anything now if this has been the case for so long? It's dated for October, but surely there's some significance that it's also dated today I mean I know most about how this stuff works. But what is the significance of today's date on there? Today is the date this was filed with Companies House Aye thought it would be filing date, what's the significance of the two dates though? They put it into effect officially today but that has been applied back to October?? Like I say I know most about how these filings work.

  16. Can't remember much, if anything at all, NUFC.com have stated from their own info that's been wrong in recent times. Seems like since they lost a lot of their inside info (after Ashley came in) they just haven't made many claims at all. Usually just commenting on reports from other places.
  17. This is what is so tedious. We know exactly how these folks are feeling, they keep letting us know. I respect people’s decisions completely, and everyone has their own moral compass to deal with, but when they drag the soap box out every 5 minutes then it just gets fucking boring. It’s like they feel the need to try and force it down people’s necks at every opportunity. Look at me, look at me, I’m so outraged still. I’d agree with this. It completely wore me out after about a week. May as well get used to it coz gonna get it from all angles soon Won't bother me if the takeover is complete. There's just something so irritating about popping in here hoping for news of Ashley's reign finally being over and seeing a page full of arguments on human rights is the reason for the new posts. EDIT: I realise I'm just making it worse posting nothing news worthy though so I'm not saying anymore.
  18. People can talk about whatever they want, but surely when there's a thread specifically about the "cost" of letting the Saudi's invest in the club that talk should go there. People look in this thread for updates on the takeover.
  19. Also on that list is UAE and China, all of whom own Premier League clubs. It’s not a blacklist either, it’s a watchlist where they want people to look at. It’s also been pointed out before that broadcasting issues is not going to affect our takeover. It’s no coincidence that the majority of these clickbait articles are being posted by either new members, or existing members who don’t post regularly. Keep the panic over on Twitter and Facebook where it belongs. China do not own Premier League clubs Neither will Saudi Arabia. PIF will, along with two other parties. Laugh all you want Kissarse. I'm just laughing at the idea of you actually believe what you've just posted. To be honest it's laughable if you believe that Chinese companies or businessmen can be assumed to.be separate from the Chinese government.
  20. Same here, took me until Rafa was chucked, but since then I've completely disconnected myself from it all, for me there was no Football club left to support. All that was left to support was the slow death of NUFC, which is not something I was prepared to do. Now hopefully it can be something worth supporting again, doesn't even matter if its not massive spending, just back to being a actual Football club that wants to be successful.
