Three new pages, what do we get, more shite about khashoggi's window, brexit and herd immunity bollocks to boot This thread is really living up to the "lost the plot" title.

Well, they're the ones apparently acting as the middle men (which still sounds ridiculous btw). But even if that's true, they aren't actually being asked or answering questions themselves. Its not as if they're more in the know than the buyers because they received the questions first.
-
Funny how everyone (Media) was so concerned at the start the our club is going to be used for sports washing, yet the ones that have used us are the PL to settle scores in the Middle East and get a better grip on their IP. Not once have we been considered in all this by the PL and not once have anyone in the media pointed out how badly used the club has been during the process. They couldn’t care who owns us, what they do with us, whether they owners abuse the fans loyalty or milk the club dry. All they are concerned about is themselves, their product and how much more money they can bring in for themselves. The worst thing is that's seen as the way it should be by some people on here.

Had on, the Premier League have every right to take as long as they want, because it has nothing to do with us (the fans who's support actually gives their member clubs a reason to exist). But we have absolutely no right to voice our own opinions on the Premier League, about our own clubs prospective takeover, on a discussion forum in a thread about that takeover? The Premier League aren't above reproach, if they don't give a shite about people who support and watch their product that's their decision. But people are going to have their view on them.

Has some interesting insights into MBS I suppose, but the article itself comes to some weird conclusions. For instance claiming that he might not be better than Mike Ashley for the club because it's unlikely he'd spend well over £1 billion of his cash on transfers ?. Quite contradictory at times as far as the quotes and conclusions go.

Some men drink wine?

Literally nothing is pointing to Ashley staying.

Newcastle make more in a season under Ashley than BeIN pay for their TV deal. They're a fractional drop in the ocean. Whole thing needs to end now, its gone on far to long.
-
Would actually be interesting to see the reaction. If Ashley and PCP got together and decided to complete the deal regardless. Inform the PL that the business has been transferred to PCP officially, and see if they want the next Newcastle game called off.. Since it can't be played under PL rules without passing the OD test. Though I don't suppose we'd see the reaction, since the Premier League would obviously take the option to quietly pass it and move on.

Nahhhhh, that makes far too much sense. It's definitely a demonstrative threat to stop showing the PL games they've already paid for, in order to stop the takeover of Newcastle United. Might even be a bit of both. Thing is what does it have to do with BeIN where Serie A decide to show exhibition matches? Seems like a recurring theme with them. They buy the rights to show matches from a certain league, then decide they should be able to control the way that league is run.
-
I think that's whats being suggested aye. Sounds mental, hard to believe they could be so irresponsible, so there must be more to it surely.
-
So there big threat would be "we're going to stop re-selling the product we already bought from you and go bankrupt if you don't do what we say"? Nah surely they aren't that insane. I mean all it would do is make pirate sites more valuable, people aren't going to miss Premier League matches because BeIN stop showing them
-
I wouldn't steal a car no, unless it was Richard Keys car and I thought I could get away with it.
-
Aye, to say piracy will destroy the game just shows how thick he is.

Ironically had Labour been in power the deal would likely be dead and massive potential investment in our area along with it. Labour would do exactly the same. In fact Blair's government discontinued a criminal investigation into BAE Systems' slush fund for bribing Saudi officials on grounds that it was not in the public interest, and was later found to have acted unlawfully. I'd agree under Blair, but not Corbyn, Blair was far more pragmatic.

Ironically had Labour been in power the deal would likely be dead and massive potential investment in our area along with it. You don't know that, ironically or not I said likely so no I don't know it, certainly the stance would have been far less in our favour.

What happened to that letter sent by 20 MPs btw? Reported a week or so ago I think, never saw anything more about it.

I was tempted to look but I'm just not giving him clicks now like.

There's fuck all ITK in Penn's posts like and he gets abuse for the way he goes on in general. Other posters are negative, to varying degrees, on the takeover but don't get abuse.

Hammered legally is one thing, I don't know about that. But when you're dealing with big money and large companies there can always be legal challenges. Something like the owners/directors test could be challenged, especially if it's seen that they haven't stuck to the rules or their own test. Other Football related rules that aren't law have stuck for a long time before falling to legal cases. like freedom of movement for out of contract players way back. Also financial rules that leagues or body's have placed on clubs have been taken to court in the past. Not sure people are saying it's a guaranteed win, but the buyers and sellers could certainly give it a good go I'm sure.

More like he hasn't got the stones to see the replies so only comes back once he's sure everyone has stopped calling him a freak
