  1. When was it introduced? And have they taken steps to address this criticism? One thing I don't like is how long it takes, you're right, and you only see the two officials huddled around a monitor. Again, it didn't really affect my overall excitement of the game, it was a minor stoppage in play. In football, especially, watching teams like Stoke comes with far more stoppages and pain. I would say that the major difference is the importance of a goal in football vs scoring in basketball. The feeling of celebrating a goal in football really isn't mimicked in basketball unless you're in buzzer beater territory, at which point the VAR/stare at the monitor process is a little more palatable anyway. VAR in it's current implementation robs the fans of really feeling that rush after their team scores. Whether it's chalked off or not. I never feel that rush about us scoring in the moment even without VAR, because I always expect our goals to be disallowed. I mean even our penalties get fucking disallowed after we score FFS!
  2. Officials will always get things wrong, or at least do things people disagree with. Its rare people agree on here or anywhere else after seeing incidents many times over. At least VAR removes the "ref didn't see it/was in a bad position" excuse. It should also improve in how its used given time as well, so I'm all for it.
  3. He never has to come out and say anything about ambition or transfer money ect, but he has in the past to put pressure on the club. Unless he's happy to be offered something he isn't willing to accept then why would he stay quiet? Point is Benitez isn't the type to just sit their quietly if he's unhappy about something.
  4. No but he could be speaking out a lot more, he's been quite quiet as far as demanding things of the club in the press like he has in the past.
  5. Whey, I know 100% I won't be having anything to do with the club in that instance. I was ready to walk away before Rafa came in, he's the only thing that's kept me involved. Can only hope others feel the same if it comes to it. But yeah in all likelihood the stadium will probably still be full for the foreseeable future.
  6. None of them were setups.. The only thing setup about any of it was the timing of leaks about those past takeover attempts, which always happened near transfer windows.
  7. Only separated by 1.3 million votes?
  8. So he's both crap at football, and dumb. Nah he can definitely speak, I've seen him being interviewed before.
  9. Brownie points from who like? Some nutter on a forum?
  10. Minhosa They've said that both party's have signed a agreement on the price to buy the club and arrangements of the proposed transaction and that document has been sent to the Premier League. They've also said that proof of funds has been shown. Apparently that's been confirmed by the club . I don't see how any of that gels with the picture you're painting.
  11. The bloke who fronted Man City's takeover rambled on like a 10 year old boy at times, didn't mean much for their credibility in the end though. Not that I believe this guy is fronting the bid like, just saying.
  12. I really don't see how they've backed Ashley into a corner?
  13. What's "heads of terms" ? Its a letter of intent to buy the club which would outline details like the agreed price, payment details and other info about the proposed purchase.
  14. Didn't NUFC confirm the original info that a deal had been agreed? I mean how the fuck do you agree a deal without a bid being received?
  15. Actually he went from cousin, to half brother to no relation, back to cousin and no relation again. The original source always said he was his cousin and never changed that story. The rest have just talked shite and can't decide what they think.

    England

Yet they often used to struggle with "easy" teams, making it look like a chore. This side are making it look easy, when they went behind I didn't think for a second that they'd struggle let alone lose, I knew they'd win by 3 or 4 at least, I've honestly never seen a England team anywhere near as good.
  17. We’re a bargain at £300M. we aren't like .all the merchandise is tied to SD for on 10 year rolling deals. All the rest of the deals are hived off to companies on long contracts like catering etc. we need £100m spending on the training ground and ground. asking price is always £50m more than what it is worth under Mike. Can you post details of those deals? Also why does the ground need so much spending on it? I mean Stamford bridge is a shit tip.
  18. Aye Ritchie back heeled it. Fantastic goal though, the link up and finish was class.
  19. We could have been 2-0 down with the red card though. Or not, either way him being sent off gives us a much better chance. Not just to score the pen (as he's saved more than half his pens this season) but because we'd be up against 10 men.
  20. Wrapping your arms round a keeper isn't a foul.. Aye OK..
  21. He's got both his arms round Dubravka, 100% a foul And a minute over the already ridiculous 4 minutes. Absolute piss take.
  22. The same one that would make Schar, Lejuene and Fernandez utter shite.
