My opinion was and still is that BOTH Barton and Ashley/Lambias are trying to look out for their best interests, and that Barton has gotten the better of them, and has exactly what he wants. All three of them are pricks. You're just yet another person who can't seperate not blaming Ashley 100% for everything with defending Ashley.

Its pretty odd like. The overreaction on here to some twitter comments was strange enough, let alone this. You're both living in a fucking fairly land if you think its fine for a player to continually slate his employer in public.

Why would he be angling for a move when it is unlikely that someone will come in and pay him the wages that he is already on? I'd have thought it'd be unlikely with Nolan, but he actually managed to get a fucking pay rise on a 5 year contract Barton will already know through his agent what people are prepared to pay him, maybe West Ham fancy another milestone around their necks.

He also has less chance of getting a higher wage and signing on fee with the club also paying a fee. This is the best outcome possible for him. Its even more amazing that every one of these honest men who only want the best for the club are also the same ones on idiotic wages wanting extensions to those contracts into their thirties. Lets face it, this is a case of a group of people all trying to look out for themselves. The likes of Barton, Nolan want their massive contracts to stay massive well beyond the point where they could ever hope to earn them. While Ashley ect want to make sure they don't have 30 year old backup players on star wages. But it seems some people will only ever see it from one side.

Yeah, have to admit, what's the difference between what Barton has tweeted, and what Enrique tweeted last week? One has been told he can leave on a free, the other one was given 2 week wages fine. Both essentially said the same thing. Enrique had one outburst and was punished for it, what Bartons been doing is quite different. He's basically been pushing them to do exactly what they have now done while trying to keep onside with the fans at the same time. As soon as anyone comes in for him with a good financial offer he'll be off despite what was said about wanting to stay and only being prepared to leave to Champions League club. Now he'll say "well I was transfer listed, I had no choice, I was forced out blah blah blah". He's been playing us just as badly as those pricks Ashley and Lambias.
