where ? Ashley's pocket. He wants the money back that he has loaned to the club - how else is he going to get it back? other than assumption and wild accusations has that ever been proven? He didn't give us it as a gift, I'm sure. And he can't just go "Ah, cheers. I'll have that." and withdraw it to from the bank. If it's 'debt' or 'loan' then there are regulations to follow about repayments and so on. He can't just take it. Maybe not, but there's nothing to stop him just using the money to keep the club running. It takes £20m of outside investment every year or we do a Portsmouth remember. It HAS taken around £20m a season, doesn't mean it will this season or the next and do a Portsmouth?, no I don't think so.

Why should we pay over the odds for players like Bothroyd and Larsson just because they think they're worth it? They aren't the kind of player that's worth going over our valuation for.

Is this like when Ben Arfa was signing for Bremen or is it definite?

Suppose if you're them, looking at the name Newcastle United, up in 8th in January, they might just get fooled. Still funny though! tbf to them its not impossible for us to get into europe, half the league could nab one of the spots considering how tight it is, its just rather improbable Surely that kind of clause wouldn't expire at the end of the season either. It'll probably be for the length of the players contract.

Probably thinks he's downplaying how well they did for us "might look good now but they were shit here so we don't miss them". That's the way I read it anyway.

Eh? How on earth is that bitter? Have i misread that? Mackem says they were our best players based on current form. He told him they weren't and that their current form is much better then both of them were here, Mackem thinks he's bitter, simples.

Had we played some hungry young players like Vuckic, Kadar, Ferguson ect I'm pretty sure we'd have won the game. Pardew doesn't seem to realise that its pretty hard to motivate first teamers to try hard against the likes of Stevenage. Its even worse when the first team is so weakened to begin with that the first teamers become the likes of Smith and Perch.. they're terrible when motivated, when unmotivated they're tragic. Couldn't believe the animosity from the Stevenage lot BTW. What a load of freaks, we played them 13 years ago and they're still angry about it and shouting about "justice" ect

Everyone's got hard games. What's more important to look at is the fact that after 21 games played we have as many points as we had after 28 games last time around. Yet even that season it took a disastrous run of only 7 points from 10 games to get us relegated.

Some of them do have some sense, but fuck me the majority are mongs and some of them, are.. indescribable.

Something I'd love if we did more, whey, if we had any decent players. Got fairly close fairly good returns on Milner, Martins, Beye, the Zog, Duff, and er... Bassong mind. Bassong was worth the 8m tbh. Hmmm how much did you lot get for Duff? £4m

I suppose he will probably keep them up this season, but surely they had better options for £7m?
-
If they sign him on a 3 year deal its going to cost them nearly £15m (he's going to want 50k per week plus, surely) for a player who'll be finished in two years time, madness.

£7M for Robbie Keane

I would rather have Welbeck than Ben Afra on the footage I have seen this season and I'm not having a pop at Arfa as I haven't seen a great deal of him to make an accurate assessment but Welbeck is going to be a top player. I've seen Ben Arfa twice when Newcastle have been on the box, once was a Sunday afternoon game and he got took off early in second half(can't remember who it was against) and in all honesty thought he was very average and the other game was Man City when he got injured so obviously can't judge him on that. You don't even know the lads name (Arfa ), let alone enough about his ability to compare. You've seen him play one match (his one less then impressive performance) and like so many other Mackems obviously haven't even heard of him prior to coming here (despite him being one of the most promising players in Europe over the last several years). Welbeck's a decent to good player, but his Footballing ability isn't in the same league as Ben Arfa.

2015 Bloody hell, whilst I'm delighted he's signed I'm not sure we should be signing players on deals until they're 2038 years old. Though we set a precedent with Nicky Butt... He'll only be 28 by the end of this contract. Whatever girlfriend.

2 - 1 to Newcastle

How many of them are about Sunderland AFC?, that's the difference. Most of this thread is about RTG and how obsessed their fans are with our club. If any Premiership club had a forum focused almost entirely on our club there'd be plenty of discussion about it.

He clearly stuck his fingers in Tiotes eyes.

Offside goal for the lucky bastards.

i've heard 6 games mentioned. don't know if that translates to a month. Same amount of time. oh bugger! Two of those games would be in the cup though, so its not quite as bad as it sounds.
