  1. If he'd signed for them the same people would claim he's on £45k a week.
  2. He's an unbelievable tosser like.
  3. Go on then http://i55.tinypic.com/10giedv.jpg
  4. Are you determined to fill this forum with shit BB?
  5. Fuck off man. Seconded, load of absolute bollocks, typical though.
  6. Where's this info from? (that he's at the training ground having a medical).
  7. Same. Our best defender since Woodgate, but with the wages he's on, he'll almost certainly have to take a cut. It could be messy. I really hope we are in Europe by then and wages will go up or at least stay the same as what he is on now. Even if we get to Europe the wages shouldn't go up. If we fail to qualify next year after that we might be fucked. They should go up based on bonuses, that's the way the ensure that your not caught out if the club don't qualify the following season.

I certainly hope the club sorts out this imaginary scenario you've cooked up in your "revolutionary" mind magpie99. I wouldn't want to see the club implode in whatever fantasy land you live in.
  9. Ameobi will die at NUFC. Also can't see why we'd sell Guthrie, his wages are tiny.
  10. I think you're missing something, aye, a measly 4m for our club captain. He might as well have bloody stayed or the board give him a longer f***ing contract for that much We might as well have given him a longer contract, which would be a terrible idea, simply because the fee isn't massive? I don't think a longer contract would have been terrible whatsoever in hindsight, I might have felt differently if we got, say, £8m for him and that £8m was guarenteed to actually buy his replacement. I dont think many on here would argue against that, but for the sake of only 4m he might as well have stayed. Just how I feel about it really. Still.. lets see if any more CM's come in He wanted 5 years, even if he'd have accepted 4 years are you saying giving him that kind of contract would be a good idea? He'd still be here on £50k a week when he's 33 which is a terrible idea IMO. The fee we're receiving doesn't change that.
  11. Not just 60k a week, but 5 years! That's £20m for Kevin fucking Nolan! He'll still be there collecting 60k a week when he's 34..

  13. That's weird. God knows what sweetner the gynormously headed one and his crooked son have offered him under the table. I doubt he means our contract offer would tie him down for life. Just that we made a good offer and if he really wanted to be here so much he could have signed it. No doubt West Ham are offering him something idiotic as usual, 5 years on 65k or something
  14. You mean the club only wants to tell the papers about news that will be seen as positive?, oh my god that's scandalous!
  15. Perhaps if his negotiation tactic had been a bit more realistic, rather than going straight in asking for 5 years, then it may have been more successful. Is that how your negotiations work like? In mine, one party says what they want, the other says what they want and they meet in the middle. Nolan was well within his rights to demand anything. 5/10/20 year extensions. I wouldn't give it to him, but there's no reason why he can't start high. He's entitled to ask for whatever he wants, but its certainly not a good starting point IMO. Even 4 years would be a terrible deal for the club IMO. He's entitled to ask for what he wants, but the club is just as entitled not to give him it. You can't blame him for trying to cash in on last season but there wasn't exactly a stampede of premier clubs rushing to offer him a better deal than we did. Yep, there was only one club thick enough to offer him what he wanted, West Ham.
  16. He's probably still trying to understand the difference between to and too. Does he have any update on when Ben Arfa's getting his legs put on the right way?
  17. He's entitled to ask for whatever he wants, but its certainly not a good starting point IMO, even 4 years would be a terrible deal for the club.
  18. I counted 5/3 to Clichy, then again he plays for Arsenal and Enrique plays for us so..
  19. Fucking hell, that article is nonsensical and people are acting like its gospel
  20. Nolan got the 5th highest card count in the league. No doubt because he had to cover for Tiote who couldn't afford to tackle because he was already on a card. Nolans got the 5th highest card count in the league yet he's totally ineffective defensively.
  21. Don't you understand? The fact he's scored all those goals shows we rely on him too much. So we have to sell him. Or something. You really are dense you know that? Point out where I said we needed to sell him because the team rely on him too much. I said we need to change the side and that when we do Nolan will be a liability rather then a benefit. I'd be fine with him staying for the rest of his two years as backup, but clearly Nolan isn't happy with that. So if its a choice between giving him a new four year deal or letting him go I'd choose letting him go. Essentially you've traded guaranteed goals, hard work + Nolan's other contributions for the nebulous hopes of a couple of French lads who could be back home come January. FWIW, I'm sure a compromise could've been met. If Nolan insisted on 5 years at top wages, then fair enough. I don't see it, mind. I don't know the exact situation and I doubt 5 years as well. But it seems like Nolan is pretty desperate to secure his future now, otherwise why has contract talks 2 years before his current deal ends been such a big issue? Apparently we offered him a one year extension to his two year deal and he turned that down. So he wants at least 4 years taking him to 33.
  22. Wow, that says a lot! It says that we relied far too much on a very limited player. Or that he is a very underrated player. He isn't underrated in though, everyone knows he's very good at what he does, and very limited in most other areas. Everyone should also realise that if your team cant win games without Kevin Nolan, then you need a new team, not to simply focus on keeping him at all costs. Eh? What's so hard to understand? Are you seriously telling me your happy with your side relying so heavily on a player like Nolan that they cant win without him? What you're saying makes no sense. If we rely so heavily on Nolan it's because his team-mates are not up to it. I'm saying we should bring in better players and therefore no longer need a limited player like Nolan in the side, how does that not make sense? Let me put it another way: Boss: OK, Harton, we're shipping Bolan out. Harton: Bolan?! But he's 300% more productive than the rest of our staff put together! Boss: Exactly, Harton. How can we grow as a company while he's holding us back? Harton: Sir, I think you've had some kind of seizure. For the final time, I didn't say the solution to us relying on Nolan too much is to sell Nolan, please read what's been said instead of continuing this discussion based on what you think I've said.

  24. Joey is that you? Seriously, have you considered the possibility that Nolan wanted to either have a new contract or go? Also we don't need to replace him with a midfielder who scores the same amount of goals, we need to change the team so that it doesn't rely on one midfielder scoring most of our goals.
