Van Der Vart.. how the fuck can they get that done in time?
-
I'm so excited

Spuds signing someone from the Dutch squad?, in the next 9 minutes?, good luck with that..

£13m+ for Gyan according to SSN
-
Gyan looked decent during the world cup, certainly a threat, not sure how well he'll do in the Premiership though, certainly not a £13m player IMO.
-
That's the benefits of HD! EDIT: That's an outrageous amount of money for a player like Gyan. Are they going completely fucking insane down there? Quinn win big on the horses or something? They've sold players for about £15m and spent about £16m.

£13.24m

I like that sexy skinny bitch on SSN at the minute talking about the Rugby! Off topic I know..
-
Did he score a single goal from open play?, I can't remember.

Blackpool signing D.J. Campbell
-
He's got an excellent record for Ghana but a pretty average record at club level, I suppose Ghana must really play some absolutely shit teams.
-
Nah he's been playing on Splinter Cell mobile.

What is it with this tosser reporting at Man City who keeps banging on about how great Man City have done with the Robinho deal and how really when you manipulate the facts a bit they've actually made a profit from it all They've actually ended up paying £16.5m+ to have Robinho for one season and he wasn't even much good for that season..

You'll maybe say the same about Carroll at the end of that season. This season you mean?, I bet I fucking won't like

They got a fantastic result at the weekend, that'll give them a huge boost, they'll be fine, although I agree Gyan is average at best and Bent is vital for them, but they could say the same thing about Carroll and us. Carroll isn't as vital for us as Bent is for them though, he's important, but Bent is basically their entire team. I'm not so sure really, the way our team is set up, relies heavily on a tall striker getting on the end of good supply from the flanks. Carrol's been played a huge part in all but one of our league goals this season. An injury to him or the wrong result in the court case in October, would hurt us badly and require a major rethink of our tactitcs. I didn't say it wouldn't effect us, just less so then Sunderland IMO. It would be very bad for us we'd either have to shove Shola up front or change the way we play (though I think with the players we have now we may be able to do that if needed), but at the end of the day we have players who pop up with goals.
-
Look at last season even, how many goals did Sunderland score if you take away Bents goals?, 24, he scored half of their goals last season.

Carroll isn't nearly as vital for us as Bent is for them though. I can't agree with that Look at the facts, they don't score goals at all without Bent, Carroll being out could hit us fairly hard but at least we have other players who can score goals, Bent being out would fuck them completely, they have nobody else who scores goals.

Finally paying off all the transfer fee's fat Fred left behind maybe, I don't know it all seems quite odd really. "Ensuring that the club is run at a break even manner by the year 2015/2016" may even mean they want a set amount of profit set aside each year that can be used for transfers to ensure that even if they need extra players they still break even. Like you say it doesn't make sense as far as simply breaking even before any possible transfer fee's and if its about debt then whoever worded it is an idiot, so its probably best not to make any assumptions about it.

Ben Arfa may have more raw talent, but in terms of making an immediate impact (i.e being able to settle in and not kicking up a fuss/being able to work hard), I'd rather have Cleverley. But then I'm massively biased. I bet if Ben Arfa had played for you in the Championship you'd have orgasmed at least once every match
-
Because in the two seasons they've been up they've always been reasonable comfortable on around 45+ points. They have had a poor start so far this season and of course they could get dragged into it and could go down, but I wouldn't consider them as serious relegation candidates at the moment.
-
I wouldn't put Birmingham or Stoke down as real relegation candidates, West Ham may get Babel but if they do they'll lose Cole and while I'm not happy about Wigan getting Cleverly at least they didn't get Ben Arfa! Aye but the rest of their team and their manager is sheeeeeite I agree, still I'd have prefered them not to sign him, like I said though he was our backup option, we got our first choice so I'm not that bothered.

Anyway, we seem to have gotten most of our first choice signings this window so that makes me much less bothered about the likes of Wigan signing a decent player.
