  1. I didn't mean it was falling down like Terrible was the wrong word I suppose. Just meant its small and not at all modern.
  2. No wonder this club gets a reputation of having deluded fans. Calling Fulham a nothing club. Dear me. They are a nothing club, they've never won a major trophy, they have a terrible stadium, barely any fans and have only been kept in the Premiership at all over the years by a very generous owner.
  3. I expect we'll hear much more of this during Routledge's time here. Do you think he was being serious like?, surely not
  4. Would be very difficult for it to fall through once he'd played for us. As now he can't play for anyone but us or Watford until next season.
  5. Arsenal don't own their stadium outright, they owe hundreds of millions on it. Still at least they can easily afford the repayments and the debt is being paid off rather then simply paying interest like Manure.
  6. Good awareness and pass for Rangers goal and a couple of decent crosses. Livened us up when he came on.
  7. Was going to have a quick look on the site but they've taken the Palace game off
  8. f*** that. It's their job to back their chosen manager and they're doing it 12 months too late. They're getting no pat on the back from me. beter they do it now than never though, it does not make up for the mess they've put the club in, but they seem to be moving in the right direction. They're still going to need to do a lot to be regarded with anything other than contempt in my eyes. Signing two decent Championship standard players, one on emergency loan and the other for a sum of around £1 million, is all well and good but it's not exactly groundbreaking. If they want to really get back in the fans good books they could start by putting in a serious bid for Moses (player or prophet, either would do). Show that they've got some ambition and they want to right the wrongs. I doubt it though. Three players, and I'd be suprised if the emergency loan bit is anything other then a way for the lad to play straight away while we try to sort out the details of the permanent transfer. Also I wouldn't believe the £1m for Routledge story yet, most places claim £2m.
  9. Considering its being reported as an emergency loan rather then a normal loan it seems like they've just gone for whatever will make the player available for tonight. With the permanent deal to follow once everything about the deal is sorted.
  10. He's been at 7 clubs before Newcastle and 3 of those were loans. Out of the 4 permanent deals he's failed at 2 (which is where the 3 loans came in) and been a big success at the other two which lead to moves to bigger clubs. Its really not as bad as you make it sound.
  11. They've done it because he's by far their biggest asset and they can't risk an injury.
  12. My ticket was £15 quid, level seven balcony, excellent seats IMO.
  13. Norwich fans thought Bellamy was an absolute joke, but he was excellent for us. Milner was pretty ordinary for us, but apparently he's excellent for you. Obviously it didn't work out for him at Villa, doesn't mean much to me to be honest. I'd be much more worried if QPR fans didn't rate him. Hang on, he did shite at Cardiff? You're talking total shit
  14. Good point, no satisfactory answer to this yet. I'm bombarding Caulkin as we speak. Caulkiiiiiiiiiiiin!! Isn't it because had he played they'd have had to pay money to Watford? I doubt Watford had a 1st appearance clause for a 26 year old player. Maybe Grant does not rate the player Hart signed. Probably either a certain amount per game up to a fixed sum or a certain amount after each number of games. Either way playing him once means they couldn't sell him. Which means they have a player they can't play and can't sell. I know most of this is a piss take by the way just thought that particular post was worth responding to.
  15. Pretty much what you said I assume. As far as the accounting lot are concerned you can spread your outlay over a 3.5 year period even if we pay the whole sum up front... bloody accounts are the devil when it comes to paperwork. As far as the account are concerned the fee is always spread over the length of the contract no matter when the actual money is paid.
  16. They're on moderate to small wages. No point in signing these players on short deals which mean we have no time to sell them on if they're not good enough. Also I suppose for accounting purposes it spreads the fee out more.
  17. Its a bit early to forgive him for all his past fuck ups.
  18. I very much doubt he's out of our league like.
  19. He would be at least 7 million Not to administrators he wouldn't. They'll sell to the highest bid, if that bid is £3m he'll be gone for £3m.
  20. well, he's a rather lightweight pacey winger.. I doubt he'd offer us more defensively I'm 100% sure he'll offer us more then Guthrie does defensively on the right side.
  21. That's probably his main weakness, his end product is inconsistent. Still 8 assists in 25 games though.
  22. Do they have any decent players we can have?
  23. Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. I mean, just look at that Anelka, eh? Look at that Marcus Bent. Which just goes to prove that a player moving about a lot doesn't tell you anything about how good he is. It indicates some sort of issue normally. Not saying I'm not happy, but people seem really thrilled and I'd genuinely like to know why, because as far as I know he's never been that great anywhere since Palace, partly hence him moving a lot and ending up at QPR. It often indicates some kind of issue yeah, just not one of quality. All I really know about him is that he came through very young for Palace and did very well in the Premeirship which lead to the Spuds signing him. He got a bad injury and Lennon took his place. Then seemed to go from one Premiership club to another on loans for a while before finally going to QPR on a permanent deal where a lot of fans think he's been their player of the season so far. That last bit is the most important thing to me though.
  24. Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. I mean, just look at that Anelka, eh? Look at that Marcus Bent. Which just goes to prove that a player moving about a lot doesn't tell you anything about how good he is.
  25. Disagree, one of the positions we needed to fill most was right wing and we've signed one of the best wingers in the division. That makes it a very good signing IMO. To be honest he'd have been a decent signing last January.
