We couldn't afford him before the Man Utd game. Obviously we could like but cost isn't the issue now is it.
-
It was like, he went through Beckfords legs to win the ball,
-
We could have had him if we've just paid the money, but apparently he wasn't worth £2m or more because his contract was running out
-
I was just saying to someone when Dawson made that tackle late on and the commentator said "Brilliant from Michael Dawson" the lads shit and he'll fuck it up
-
Beckford scores!
-
What a fucking hatchet job this is by this cunt of a ref.
-
Maybe Pancrate? Krul, Kadar, Pancrate and Taylor are most certainly not regulars and I doubt Carroll would have started ahead of Ameobi either if this wasn't a cup game.

Not anymore, we've gotten luck with an injury for once Smith in to replace him. -
You can't think of many players that have been bought from a lower league and ended up replacing a bigger name player? Ok not off the top of your head, but surely you have to accept its happened loads of times over the years.
-
How many times has a player come into a club and taken the place of a bigger name player. Not everyone picks players purely on reputation. I know its just an opinion, I just think its very frivolous
-
Based on what though? I just don't think he'd have been keeping Kaboul or Ben Haim out of the team. Just an opinion that's all. No offense though but I think that's just a guess based on nowt. I mean what do you about how much the manager rates each player or there general situation? Also Kaboul has been injured hasn't he? Just seems pointless to say this based on no info. We know the reason the lad hasn't played a single game, anything else is guesswork.
-
So now they want more money because they didn't even realise how much they owed to Watford? Portsmouth are absolutely fucking amazing. They're like a tramp who asks for a certain amount of money, sees the cash in your hand and asks for a bit more so they can get one more can of special brew.
-
Based on what though? We don't have any idea what's going on in the managers head nor do we have much of an idea what Portsmouth's situation is other then the obvious financial problems and then being generally shit (at least I don't anyway). What we do know is the fact that he hasn't played tells us zero about the players ability. The only info we really have on him is that he was class at Watford, so we know he's at least a very good Championship player, and that Pompey were willing to offer £3m for him so they believed he's a Premiership player. Hopefully we'll find out if they were right next season
-
He wouldn't have been first choice here either.
-
He played 23 times for Watford in all competitions and scored 3 goals.
-
Nolan ? Nah seems a nice enough lad. Carroll's not exactly quick and seems pretty arrogant, how about him?
-
Colo arrogant? GG, you said Williamson was "awesome" and "incredible" before he left
-
Be interesting to see how Kilgallon does. There's also Smalling at Fulham who looks promising and came straight from non-league. The only thing that would worry me about this signing is that Pompey have dropped Mokoena back into defence at times instead of playing this lad. I suppose that could just be Paul Hart being shit though. He hasn't played because £1m of his fee is based on appearances and Portsmouth can't afford to pay any of it (apparently they can't even afford to pay the rest of the initial fee they offered for him which is due in the next couple of months, according to Watford fans anyway).
-
Nobody wanted him back anyway. Not only because he left in the first place but because he seems to be finished.
-
Who says he's not good enough for the Premiership though?, especially if it was only backup.
-
Looked back at what GG had to say about him and what I gathered is that he's slightly slow but also awesomely incredible
-
Heh, seriously, I've never seen/noticed him play, in fact I haven't even heard anyone say anything decent about the lad since we were linked with him. Not much to care about like. If we were signing him I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but that's about it.
-
I don't blame him, I'd have to be bothered in the slightest to blame him.
-
Nobody knows where Sunderland is, so it had to be reported as either Newcastle or Middlesborough
-
I think so yeah, so even if one game wouldn't effect the fee it would mean they'd be stuck with a player they can't afford to play.
