Only reason yous like to talk about wages per year is because you all get a hard on over really big numbers

So they admit right there that Sports Direct are not paying a fair amount, as to "pay on a fair commercial basis" you have to pay more than Sports Direct. Also just because its not illegal to do what he's doing doesn't make it reasonable or right. I don't care if Ashley thinks its fair because he owns both companies. Its a disgusting thing to do when you're dealing not just with a normal company but with a sporting institution which has tens of thousands of loyal fans, not customers, fans. The fucker knows exactly what he's doing and its nothing to do with a reluctance to pay for something he sees as his already. He's reducing NUFC revenue by funnelling that potential revenue to Sports Direct and then turning that into "debt" that NUFC owe him. This achieves three things. It gives him a excuse for claiming the club shouldn't have an ambition for more "we can't compete". It increases his profits in Sports Direct (so that debt at NUFC isn't money he's lost at all). It also gives him a excuse for the amount of money he wants to sell the club "I've put X amount of money in". He loses nothing, yet if he sells the club he gets his money back plus all the imaginary debt, some of which he's already paid himself back from the club revenue he allows to come in.

Our revenues should let us do much more than just compete with the likes of Huddersfield. If not for the horrible fat prick.

Not my point whether you do or don't think they "deserved the money" my point was that if you aren't taking money out then the club makes its own resources to spend. So the shite people (like John Hall) spout about new owners having to have big money to spend is just that, shite. But on whether they deserved it or not, I think there's nothing wrong with being paid for your job, but they went far too far and no I don't think they deserved the amount they took. Not when at times they were sanctioning dividend payments (majority of that going to them) in seasons when the club had actually lost money. That's the behaviour of a greedy leech not a good business owner.
-
He was good compared to Ashley, a bit shite at his job but actually wanted success for the club. He still took huge sums of money out of the club though, as did John Hall.
-
Shut up John Hall, shut the fuck up man. If a new owner isn't bleeding money out of the club like you and Freddy Shepherd did from dividends or running it into the ground like the current piece of shit owner there'll already be resources, the club brings in its own resources.

This cunt has lived for 4 hours and 44 minutes this year, fuck 2019.
-
Which is why we got relegated. Jannmaat was decent early on but when things got really difficult later that season his attacking outlet consisted of blindly floating balls into the box.
-
Aye, everyone wanting him to fuck off.
-
Yedlin's so strong he's pulled this poor lads arm off FFS!

You can never spend enough to guarantee that you'll win it every single year (even back in the Chelsea/Man City early days you couldn't do that). But you can spend enough to make winning the title inevitable at some point. Its still buying the title and we'd only have to very loosely comply with FFP. In a situation like Man City's I'd be surprised if we didn't have a revenue of around £450m-£500m within a year.
-
You can tell yourself that like but you must know you're lying to yourself There was never any chance of it not working, whether it was Man City or here. They've continually throw more and more money at the situation until in the end it had to work, success was 100% inevitable.
-
Any new owner with the slightest idea and ambition would have this club hitting £200m+ revenue per year quite quickly and £250m+ within a few years.

Is POOT talking to himself now?

Looks even less like Garry Cook..

Where's 28m been mentioned?

McBride was good. As was Landon Donovan for the brief time he was here. Claudio Reyna’s time was cut short by injuries but he clearly had what it took to play in the PL. Same with Stu Holden. Geoff Cameron was a competent defender for Stoke for a few years. I’ll go to the grave defending Yedlin as a PL-quality fullback. There really haven’t been a ton of players to make the jump from MLS tbh Thing is they were ok the names being mentioned but not a massive success which when your paying the reported 24 - 30 million for is what would be required Only for Newcastle, if we are being honest, though. This club's competitors are spending 20+ million on reserves and young players. Leicester spent 75% of Newcastle's transfer record for a 25 year old that would exclusively be their reserve keeper. Not sure any clubs that are our direct competitors are spending £20m+ on reserves like. But I do agree that £25m doesn't equal instant great in todays market, nowhere near. I mean when you think about it we spent 75% of our transfer record on a reserve as well (Murphey). You've got to start at £20m+ these days just to get a good player (unless you strike gold like for someone like Fernandez of course).

Class, offer 3 dollars.

Was just wanting to know exactly what was said. Seen it now like.

Anyone watching SSN?

Talk of £22m being the fee, coming from another Journalist/presenter over there. EDIT: Actually he's said the deal will make Almiron the most expensive Paraguayan Footballer in history. Which means at least £22m apparently.
-
The guy who's said this is a pretty well respected sports presenter in Almiron's home country isn't he?
