No, I saw it and we were woefully embarassing. Second half we were the better team and deserved a point though. Even messrs Shearer and Owen agree on that. I see what you did there mate, I take it you are the comedy genius around these parts then..... You're fu**ing special son As are you. It boils down to First half you tried to pass it about and were mauled, second half you played like a Rugby team and scored twice after we had to make some daft changes. I don't understand your criticism of them, they were as awful in the first half as we were in the second. Didn't think their fans were too bad (in the ground) either, seen far worse at SJP in recent years. He's talking about the quality of Football not how effective each team was. At least we played some good stuff in the first half.

Why would you want the Spuds to win? What are you desperate for exactly?
-
You are of course correct, compared to the likes of the big teams in the league we are pretty awful. There are also teams in the league who are even worse than us, they currently lie below us in the league. No wonder your fans are so universally hated. Hardly. He's not said much incorrect there either. Ok then you tell me which teams currently below Stoke in the league are worse Footballing sides? In fact tell me which ones are in the whole league.

You are of course correct, compared to the likes of the big teams in the league we are pretty awful. There are also teams in the league who are even worse than us, they currently lie below us in the league. There isn't a single team below you in the league that's a worse Football team. There isn't a team in the league actually, why bother trying to deny the way your team plays? Like I said it it keeps you up then its a good thing, because you don't have the players to play decent Football.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing when Fuller took Coloccini apart like he wasn't even there before crossing for Sidibe to get us back in the game. Horrible to watch...... One bit of direct running and a cross for a tap in is hardly amazing Football.. I mean maybe it is to you but it certainly isn't to the rest of the league. Look you're a pretty awful Football team but if your manager can keep you up by playing that way then he'll have done a fantastic job, given what he has to work with, that's all that matters.

Because Newcastle United is worth more with Michael Owen contracted to it and giving him a new contract doesn't cost him a penny, it comes from club revenue.

Sorry but all I can do is laugh at that, too ridiculous

If Kinnear could just pick the team then leave substitutions to somebody else I'd be much more confident. He starts well but then sabotages ever game we play at the moment.
-
Yes I think so, I honestly can't even understand what must have been going through his head to make such a change, it still amazes me.

It definitely doesn't look good at the moment. Here are some scattered relegation worried thoughts on the matter Last season we had 22 points at this stage, now we have 16, though we did have an easier start to the season last time around. The next 14 games are very important because last season we only took 7 points from them, so that's somewhere we can possibly catch up. Though we still need 13 points from those 14 games to catch where we were last season, a season when we were already in relegation trouble. Our current form would see us take 15 points but who knows what will happen over the course of those games... The last 8 games if anything look a little bit harder then the last 8 from last season, plus we got 14 points from those 8 last season to end up with a total of 43. We look incapable of getting 14 points from 8 games at the moment, so we really can't rely on those. Having said that 37 points would have kept us up that season, but this season seems different, I doubt 37 points will keep a side up this season. Personally I think we need at least 18 points from the next 14 games for me to feel confident of staying up. If we go into the last 8 games needing 10 to 12 points I'll shit myself.

Coloccini just got surprised by Fullers pace and power, not knowing a thing about Fuller he wouldn't have known what to expect.

Happy days. Brilliant isn't it!
-
Well at least that's something, we're 5th bottom by one entire point.
-
Now the Mackems are going to get a point and once again we're joint 4th bottom. We've finished a dream day of fixtures for us without gaining any ground at all.
-
If he lost 10 games in a row of course he would be sacked. Ashley does not want this football club to get relegated. If he lost 10 games in a row we'd already be relegated no matter what happened with Kinnear. Lets just hope it wouldn't take Ashley 10 games to sack him if we do start losing consistently.

Changed my vote from 3 to 5

Well done, Joe. You can put two wingers and two strikers on the field, and make them play as two wingers and two strikers against the mighty Stoke. Bravo. Kinnear had so many better options to replace Guthrie. He could have shifted Colo there or moved Zog into the centre as he's played there before. Putting Beye into midfield was a disastrous decision at the end of the day. He even could have just brought on Cacapa for Guthrie, ok its not perfect but at least he'd then only have one player out of position instead of three. He had no problem bringing Cacapa on for Geremi, seemingly for no reason, so why not for Guthrie?

Seen it on the tele just before the end and it was never a free kick in a million years. As for us, we'll get relegated at this rate if we cant beat West Brom, Wigan and now Stoke at home - which are teams we should be beating at SJP. If you look at our next four games in the league, we've got Portsmouth away, Spurs at home, Wigan away and Liverpool. Personally I cant see us winning any of them. Things dont look good We did beat West Brom, but you've still got a point.
-
This is relegation form. I don't know how you can deny that. You don't throw away 2 goal leads at home to teams like Stoke and expect to get away with it. Before the last 3 games I would have expected us to take 3 or 4 points in total from them. We have 3, not in the way we thought but to go away to Boro and Chelsea and get points doesn't indicate relegation form to me. Form doesn't equal 3 games though, I said the same thing to myself after the Boro game with regards to Wigan. I thought well I expected 3 points against Wigan and maybe one against Boro and none against Chelsea so its not so bad in the end. But now when this result is added to it the picture starts to look far more worrying.

We've been here before. We're going nowhere. Yep, short memories. We'll be fine. Really wish you'd fuck off with this condescending bullshit Diablo. Short memories of what? I remember last season perfectly. Dalglish and Gullit left within a few weeks of the respective new seasons. We were close-ish to relegation under Souness, but we were five points away from the drop-zone with a few months to go. Roeder, we were never really in danger - i never really understood this big sigh of relief when we won at Sheffield United. We were miles away from going down. Last season we were potentially going down - that's the closest we've been until now, but we had Kevin Keegan and pulled ourselves away. This season, we're a few points off bottom of the table at Christmas times, with a shitty run of fixtures in the New Year. With Joe Kinnear. We're perilously close to relegation, man. Why should I? Like I said if we hang on which was looking more and more likely and the time ran out would there be the same inquest into Kinnear's subs, his tactics? Course not. We concede a goal from A SET PIECE, and suddenly he's the fucking anti-christ. It gets to me more than anything I've ever read on here, kneekjerk doesn't do it anywhere near justice. We were in a worse position under Allardyce and say what you like, we could have easily gone down under KK imo. But we're not even at Christmas yet, picking up points (that should have been three points today, yes), scoring goals and looking reasonable tight at the back. What with the premiership table as it is now too it's pretty fucking obvious to me that we've been much deeper shit not even 8 months ago. Yet i'm reading this 'omg, we r so going down' which gets an airing every time a result doesn't go out way. We'll put in a Villa like performance soon and everything will be rosy again. Perilously close to relegation, good cunting grief. The way you talk about the game everything was going fine until we leaked a fluke goal and now Kinnear is being made a scapegoat. That's just not how it happened.. We invited pressure on to ourselves for the entire of the second half and to me it was always a matter of when the Stoke goals would come, not if. Contrary to the rosy picture your painting we looked more and more desperate and likely to concede as time ran out. This is not a case of everything going ok with an unlucky goal at the end, this is a case of a manager making 3 completely inept substitutions, each of them piling more and more pressure on the side, and being inevitably punished for it.
-
WHAT?? How are we CLEARLY going to be fine? Correct me if I'm wrong here but we had 18 points this time last season!
-
I'm not sure how you can be so confident. If you can't hold onto a 2-0 lead over a club like Stoke, at home, then you deserve to be relegated if you ask me. And it's not like the equaliser came out of nowhere. They deserved it and that's the thing that makes it so bad. I agree with everything else you've said and most of this, however the free kick they scored from was never a foul in a million years, there was nothing there what so ever.

Rio Ferdinand is an awesome defender, Faye is decent. We have different perceptions of adjectives. I'd say Ferdinand was a 'world class' defender. I'd say a defender needs to be world class, or pretty close, to put people in awe of his defender. I can't remember ever being in awe of Faye, he was a good and very solid defender, that's all.
