  1. Mostly Monreal's fault IMO, he put Cech in a really bad situation. Having said that Cech should have smashed it not tried to go round Niasse.
  2. He didn't have one shot on target - ran with the ball a bit, did a few twists and turns but there was zero end product. Loads of step overs though, you do know that you get a point per step over aye?
  3. I'm not interested BTW if you consider "shit" to mean something slightly different to me. Take shit to mean his level of involvement today. I don't remember another time he was as ineffectual as that, every other time he's been more involved. Usually to a level that improved us as a team.
  4. Well done extremely well made point.
  5. Should we have a better striker?, yes obviously if we actually spent some money. But for the money paid he's been good, contributed and made us a better team than we were before he was involved. Wasn't really involved today, neither was Perez which probably made it more difficult for him. The few of you having a go when basically nobody played well for the majority of the game, you're completely pathetic like.
  6. I don't remember Luuk De Jong scoring. Or contributing to quite a few of our wins.
  7. Two absolute sitters he's missed in the space of 5 minutes.
  8. Should have already been down 2-1, now they are seconds later.
  9. He's a total creep. Is he still tweeting from Pav's account - even though he's been dead for nearly a year? I'm not from the area so I've never really known what his deal is when he gets mentioned. Had a Google, it seems he's a doorman/actor/boxing promoter/agent/fansize editor/sacked football agent/pr. Does that just about cover it? You missed out pathetic cretin.
  10. Just seen Souness talking about Koeman. Apparently he's in trouble because Everton fans expectations have gone through the roof this season. They're 16th in the league and bottom of their UEFA group, how dare they expect better

To be fair they have been and throwing unlimited cash at something until the inevitable happens isn't much of an achievement. Unfortunately because of these clubs its now neccesary to have a rich owner throwing money at you just so you can compete at all, not necessarily buy a title.
  12. Well we can build up our standing (not be run like a grubby corner shop for a start) which in turn can increase commercial revenues significantly. Also money spent on stuff like stadiums or training facilities isn't included in FFP so we could improve things heavily there which will again improve revenues.
  13. Just read that article, is he possibly looking at any potential £380m deal as exclusive of debt? As in he's saying the club is worth about £190m-£200m because there's about £200m of debt left to pay after you buy. So paying £380m for a club that will have £200m debt would be over the odds (total of £580m). That's the only way I can make sense of his opinion. Because if he's saying that Newcastle United, free of Ashley's debt, is worth only £190-£200m he's not an expert, he's a moron.
  14. Clubs get paid TV money in stages don't they? If they sold everything over night they wouldn't get any further TV money payments. Also to sell that quick they'd have to sell at a small fraction of market value. If instead they sold over the season (which they'd need to to get the kind of money you're talking about) then they'd have to spend significant amounts of money on running costs (including about £70m+ on wages for the year). Don't get me wrong like, that "expert" talking about what the club is worth is talking utter bollocks, just saying that I don't think asset stripping would work in Football.
  15. We're Newcastle. We're fucked. Well the numbers alone tell us that it's more then just us currently being investigated.
  16. As if we're the only club who've done this kind of thing. Obviously multiple clubs being investigated and they wouldn't dare relegated multiple clubs.
  17. Has to be, I mean £500m worth of business in the last 10 years for us might be believable (ins and outs). But we've done nowhere near that in just the 3 year period mentioned there.
  18. About £300m on transfers in since Ashley arrived, probably at least as much coming back from outgoing transfers so total is likely well over £500m. Obviously But there's no chance that every one of out transfers in and out are being investigated like
  19. Which official outlet has said she's in talks to buy us ? Seemed suspicous that NDA's had apparently been signed but not with her. The Times amongst others have said that she’s held informal talks with us. This thread is full of such information from multiple respectable sources. Informal talks has become preliminary talks ? ands when I asked about official I meant the club or her . Preliminary/informal, whichever, not much point in holding any talks with us if she's serious about buying Liverpool. I mean its two very different levels of investment.
  20. Gets worse every time I see it.
  21. Well when you put it like that.. no, still a rip off. Half of Everton went for £200m last year; maybe the £400m in itself isn't that bad an asking price. But surely any potential buyer would run as soon as they see the loan he'd instantly want paid back on top of it. And I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to add bullshit sponsorship and merchandise clauses that benefit no one but Sports Direct as a parting shot. Insufferable cunt. Everton had a £80m external debt so the £200m for half doesn't tell the full story. Nobody is going to buy NUFC and accept keeping on a £100m+ loan owed to Ashley so IF the £380m is true it would have to include Ashley's debt and mean they'd have the club debt free (we have no external debt to my knowledge (?)).
  22. I think he does offer as much in build up play. Though, at least at this early stage, Joselu looks to have a better instinct for getting into goal scoring positions. Still think Mitrovic can be a good option though.
  23. Troll. Aye, reckons Gayle would have finished those chances. Except he wouldn't have gotten those chances, because we'd have played shite with him up front by himself.
  24. He's played ok overall so far and contributed a lot in our two wins. No he's not a natural in the number 10 spot, but at his worst he doesn't hide and doesn't go for the easy option just to cover his back (probably why he often gets the blame when we play poorly). Also puts plenty of effort in IMO. Gayles a predatory kind of striker, but offers very little to the team, so I think he'd be absolutely shocking in the number 10 role.
  25. How anonymous was Wijnaldum today then? Tough game so no doubt he didn't leave the changing rooms.
