  1. i like the swiss army knife analogy Rafa's new Dirk Kuyt?
  2. Well I mean 10 goals in 36 games last season looks ok. But better when you see it was 1765 minutes total (so basically just under 20 full matches).
  3. Not a chance we'll get anywhere near £6m for Hanley.
  4. Teasy

    Daryl Murphy

Ask for £4m, cheating cunts can pay through the nose or fuck off
  5. Makes me wonder if our relegation season might just have been a bad dream when I read comments like this. Yes he's got a lot of quality, for the right side in the right role he's very good. But I'm in no hurry to bring back a lad that I was desperate to see dropped at times in our relegation season. He was fucking awful for big portions of that season, including the time Rafa managed us in the Premier League.
  6. Like him or not, Gini would be the best player at the club by an absolute mile whether in the number 10 role behind Gayle, or as one of the two in the centre. We'll get no-one near as good as him. In theory, in reality in our relegation season there was a reason people couldn't stand the lad, he was anonymous most of the time and that's not what we need.
  7. Either it all goes ok, Benitez is happy and I can enjoy the season. Or that cunt pisses about, Benitez leaves and I forget about Newcastle United. Either way at least I have some closure, not like waiting for Pardew to be sacked with the thin hope a good manager may be able to push us forward despite Ashley. If it goes wrong here its been made 100% clear that its utterly pointless to support them under Ashley.
  8. I'd have no issue at all about going back in this case. But I do agree that Benitez won't be looking at him.
  9. I'd go out and get a shirt with Ben Arfa on the back and instantly be twice as excited for the start of the season. Just having him on the pitch makes the game more exciting.
  10. Aye should definitely match that like, hopefully the Daily Star accept the bid!
  11. Oh aye, absolutely desperate like, that's why we won't match the £16m asking price.
  12. I'd hope that its a case of Darren Randolph being offered and Benitez telling then to fuck off.
  13. That anyone who wears those shoes and/or shiny pants gets kicked in the head daily. Don't know if that counts as two wishes or one?
  14. Wish he'd go in there and eat till he dies to be honest.
  15. The point is those players are very very far from the best around.
  16. Mitrovic is absolute fucking garbage man. The sooner people accept that the better. The guy hasn't the slightest clue how to be a striker 9 goals in 30 starts in his first premier league season, thats not garbage at all. We could do better but hes definitely got something. He is young though and needs to improve. Do you really believe this shit or is it blind faith. Of them 9 goals 2 or 3 were penalties and 2 came in the Norwich game He scored 4 fucking goals in The championship and couldn't get a game ahead of Daryl Murphy. The guy is fucking hopeless, the sitters and chances he misses on a regular basis is predominantly what cost us relegation in the first place. If Dwight Gayle had have been our striker that year we wouldn't have dropped He's absolutely awful, the love in for him is bizarre to say the least and this nonsense about him being young has to stop He's 22 and possess none of the attributes to make a good striker, if you haven't got them at that age you'll never have them How did he manage to play more games than Murphy if he couldn't get a game ahead of him? I mean Murphy was injured till late December but even after January Mitrovic played more games than Murphy.
  17. Agree with that. Traore looks like a headless chicken in comparison. Head down, leg it then give it away. He would be infuriating. Traore, Gabriel Obertan comes to mind. They're really not much a like at all. Both look thick as mince in Footballing terms, but ability wise they're quite different.
  18. I don't think Townsend was raw, he'd done for us what he'd done when he played for England. Rafa just helped bring on his consistency. Adama Traore on the other hand has no footballing ability to be able to nurture as far as end product is concerned, he's as much of a headless chicken as Obertan was. Traore at least has a frightening ability to beat players and drive the team forwards, which Obertan didn't have. Obertan was a headless chicken with a fear of running No doubt Traore would be frustrating, but he could also be very exciting, in the right system he could even be effective.
  19. Why would those demands hold the deal up? Its peanuts, Colback is probably on more than that.
  20. I think we will spend around £70m total, so about £50m or so left to spend.
  21. What happened to the two that were close that were going to be revealed a couple of days ago?
