  1. What three times £25m? That's what Lukaku costs and he's a lot more than just a good proven striker, hes a real top striker, and he's also still young and has potential to get even better.
  2. Aye he's potential, looks a really good player. But you can't say he's value at £25m based on the fact that he hasn't played much so he might score loads if he did. Personally I'd take the risk on him if we've got the budget for other areas as well, but I don't agree that its a bargain price.
  3. I know he's young, but £25m is value for a player who scored 4 goals in the 20 Premier League matches last season? It isn't like, I mean he might end up being worth it but ffs that isn't some bargain price, he's potential not proven.
  4. Again the article isn't saying we are struggling to find £12m. It says "Newcastle are also believed to be keen on Delph but may struggle to pay the fee required" its clearly an opinion by the journalist that we may not be prepared to offer that fee for Delph.
  5. Doesn't actually say we're struggling BTW. It says we may struggle to.
  6. Some people just make me sad
  7. Yeah I'd agree, and he was already at Huddersfield so its akin to our signing of Atsu.
  8. £75m.. thought it might be more to be honest.
  9. Broke their transfer record three times in as many weeks I think! Huddersfield Town In Laurent Depoitre (FC Porto) Undisclosed Details Aaron Mooy (Man City) £8m Details Jonas Lossl (Mainz) Loan Details Tom Ince (Derby County) Undisclosed Details Kasey Palmer (Chelsea) Loan Details Danny Williams (Reading) Free Details Steve Mounie (Montpellier) Undisclosed Details Scott Malone (Fulham) Undisclosed Details Would we be happy with those signings?
  10. Everton are basically paying the fee these players may end up being worth in the future, especially the case with Pickford.

£5m is a pittance to be honest like, likely does nowt but cover what they still owe Liverpool. They paid £10m for him 2 years ago so I'd be very surprised if they don't still owe £5m for him.
  12. I don't see how signing any one player makes that the limit of our ambitions like, we need squad fillers as well as first team improvement.
  13. Aye I'd have no issue with it, just don't believe the club would sanction £9m for a 31 year old.
  14. Aye, would be just under half what they paid for him 2 and a half years ago.
  15. Don't believe for a minute that we've offered £9m for a 31 year old.
  16. Aye, they can like. There is a standard clause in pretty much every manager's contract that stipulates they aren't allowed to bad mouth the club in public - if this leak has come direct from Rafa and the club are able to prove it, they could sack him. Not that they would like, but it can and does happen. I'd imagine Rafa is clever enough to ensure the link has come from someone that isn't himself like, such as an associate. He can't be sacked without full compensation just for saying he's not happy with the lack of transfer activity. That's not something that would be considered bad mouthing the club in the context of the kind of clause you're referring to. Or am I missing the full scope of what he's meant to have said? I admit I haven't read all of the articles mentioned here.
  17. Got no problem with Rafa using the media to his advantage, they can't sack him for it and its a lot better than managers just toeing the line while we're fed shit by the club.
  18. They could, was just thinking more of the PR exercise of unveiling a new player before or at the same time as the old one leaves. Chronicle makes it sound like its us holding things up though.
  19. They have no say in it if we meet the release clause though? They have no say in whether he can go, but they can certainly delay the deal going through if they want. Just speculating of course, not saying I believe that's happening, but it is something Eibar could do if they wanted to.
  20. Unless Eibar want to be able to make a replacement signing before allowing us to sign Lejeune, which they can't do until July 1st?
  21. What absolute drivel I mean aye I'm sure Real Madrid just rang us up and said "we'd give you £30m for that Sissoko lad you know, I mean we aren't going to, but we would"..
  22. 5 million seems an absolute bargain, hell even the 8 million Man City rate him at seems like a no brainer. Seems very cheap. Wages won't be though. His Man City wages, but he only has 12 months left on that contract.

Wow Simon Mignolet? Kaboul & McClean too Would be surprised if they made a profit on Kaboul, Watford only paid £3.5m for him. Definitely made a small profit on McClean and quite a good profit on Mignolet though
