  1. The point is those players are very very far from the best around.
  2. Mitrovic is absolute fucking garbage man. The sooner people accept that the better. The guy hasn't the slightest clue how to be a striker 9 goals in 30 starts in his first premier league season, thats not garbage at all. We could do better but hes definitely got something. He is young though and needs to improve. Do you really believe this shit or is it blind faith. Of them 9 goals 2 or 3 were penalties and 2 came in the Norwich game He scored 4 fucking goals in The championship and couldn't get a game ahead of Daryl Murphy. The guy is fucking hopeless, the sitters and chances he misses on a regular basis is predominantly what cost us relegation in the first place. If Dwight Gayle had have been our striker that year we wouldn't have dropped He's absolutely awful, the love in for him is bizarre to say the least and this nonsense about him being young has to stop He's 22 and possess none of the attributes to make a good striker, if you haven't got them at that age you'll never have them How did he manage to play more games than Murphy if he couldn't get a game ahead of him? I mean Murphy was injured till late December but even after January Mitrovic played more games than Murphy.
  3. Agree with that. Traore looks like a headless chicken in comparison. Head down, leg it then give it away. He would be infuriating. Traore, Gabriel Obertan comes to mind. They're really not much a like at all. Both look thick as mince in Footballing terms, but ability wise they're quite different.
  4. I don't think Townsend was raw, he'd done for us what he'd done when he played for England. Rafa just helped bring on his consistency. Adama Traore on the other hand has no footballing ability to be able to nurture as far as end product is concerned, he's as much of a headless chicken as Obertan was. Traore at least has a frightening ability to beat players and drive the team forwards, which Obertan didn't have. Obertan was a headless chicken with a fear of running No doubt Traore would be frustrating, but he could also be very exciting, in the right system he could even be effective.
  5. Why would those demands hold the deal up? Its peanuts, Colback is probably on more than that.
  6. I think we will spend around £70m total, so about £50m or so left to spend.
  7. What happened to the two that were close that were going to be revealed a couple of days ago?
  8. What three times £25m? That's what Lukaku costs and he's a lot more than just a good proven striker, hes a real top striker, and he's also still young and has potential to get even better.
  9. Aye he's potential, looks a really good player. But you can't say he's value at £25m based on the fact that he hasn't played much so he might score loads if he did. Personally I'd take the risk on him if we've got the budget for other areas as well, but I don't agree that its a bargain price.
  10. I know he's young, but £25m is value for a player who scored 4 goals in the 20 Premier League matches last season? It isn't like, I mean he might end up being worth it but ffs that isn't some bargain price, he's potential not proven.
  11. Again the article isn't saying we are struggling to find £12m. It says "Newcastle are also believed to be keen on Delph but may struggle to pay the fee required" its clearly an opinion by the journalist that we may not be prepared to offer that fee for Delph.
  12. Doesn't actually say we're struggling BTW. It says we may struggle to.
  13. Some people just make me sad
  14. Yeah I'd agree, and he was already at Huddersfield so its akin to our signing of Atsu.
  15. £75m.. thought it might be more to be honest.
  16. Broke their transfer record three times in as many weeks I think! Huddersfield Town In Laurent Depoitre (FC Porto) Undisclosed Details Aaron Mooy (Man City) £8m Details Jonas Lossl (Mainz) Loan Details Tom Ince (Derby County) Undisclosed Details Kasey Palmer (Chelsea) Loan Details Danny Williams (Reading) Free Details Steve Mounie (Montpellier) Undisclosed Details Scott Malone (Fulham) Undisclosed Details Would we be happy with those signings?
  17. Everton are basically paying the fee these players may end up being worth in the future, especially the case with Pickford.

£5m is a pittance to be honest like, likely does nowt but cover what they still owe Liverpool. They paid £10m for him 2 years ago so I'd be very surprised if they don't still owe £5m for him.
  19. I don't see how signing any one player makes that the limit of our ambitions like, we need squad fillers as well as first team improvement.
  20. Aye I'd have no issue with it, just don't believe the club would sanction £9m for a 31 year old.
  21. Aye, would be just under half what they paid for him 2 and a half years ago.
  22. Don't believe for a minute that we've offered £9m for a 31 year old.
  23. Aye, they can like. There is a standard clause in pretty much every manager's contract that stipulates they aren't allowed to bad mouth the club in public - if this leak has come direct from Rafa and the club are able to prove it, they could sack him. Not that they would like, but it can and does happen. I'd imagine Rafa is clever enough to ensure the link has come from someone that isn't himself like, such as an associate. He can't be sacked without full compensation just for saying he's not happy with the lack of transfer activity. That's not something that would be considered bad mouthing the club in the context of the kind of clause you're referring to. Or am I missing the full scope of what he's meant to have said? I admit I haven't read all of the articles mentioned here.
