That's a good way of looking at it, but it ignores the fact that if he sells at a profit so quickly it is partly at the expense of investments that could have otherwise been made into the club by the new owners (aside from obviously our previous owners, who would have sold too cheaply). Nothing can be done about that now though so what's the point of worrying about it? Also I hope Shepherd did sell to cheaply, I hope he has sleepless nights over it the fat tit...

Well this is the way I see it. If Ashley rejects a £30-40 million profit (it has to be more then the last 'bid' after all) then great, it proves his commitment. If he accepts it, then he never had any commitment to NUFC at all. In which case I'd be happy that we'd seen the back of him sooner rather then later

We already have players who can create a chances and win games. Our real problem going into this summer was a lack of quality depth in the squad. That's pretty close to being solved but its not complete yet. IMO Faye is yet another step towards that goal and once that's in place then the next step would be a top class playmaker in January or next summer when hopefully we'll be in a much better position to attract that kind of player.

He looked poor in one game out of position so he's average.. yeah great logic. Milner, in his correct position, is a very good player for his age. Good technique, good crosser and a good shot on him and still only 21 so he can keep improving. The idea that he only looks good against lesser teams is bollocks, sure you aren't talking about Duff?

Apparently so. Cacapa and Enrique make 2 if my maths is correct here, Dragutinovic would appear to be the probable 3rd... which leaves space for a potential right-back incoming, if you ask me. After Geremi's recent performances in the middle I want him kept there, if possible, and Solano/Taylor don't entirely convince me (although I reckon Taylor could be decent there, especially in the "harder" games where we need to be more solid at the back.) The documented bid for Steinsson of AZ Alkmaar and Faye from Bolton means we're sniffing around players who play there/can play there. Drago/Enrique and a new RB and - as I said the other day - I'll be doing cartwheels. That's what I thought but what happens if Dyer stays? Does it knock the potential right back idea on the head? If he stays then we don't buy a replacement for him. Its not going to have any affect in the other 4 players Allardyce wants obviously.

Sevilla are by far a better and more talented proposition right now than our own club, if he gets the money he wants he could easily decide to stay. There's no way Sevilla are going to triple his current wage. Also he wants to play in the Premiership and at 31 if that's going to happen it has to happen now. How do you know what they are going to pay him? Even if they doubled it he'd probably go for that imo. Unless he really really wants out, which he's never hinted at. Sevilla aren't a wealthy club, they're obviously already paying Dragutinovic what they can afford (he's an established player there). I really can't see them doubling that let alone triple it. Also as I said he's said he wants to play in the Premiership (but strangely most press seem only to quote his comment on financial rewards..)
