And they need Work Permits? Comes down to what the government decides on immigration really, leaving the EU doesn't automatically force them to limit immigration from the EU.
-
Short in the Premier League, but some of the shit we have as cover that weren't nearly good enough in the Premier League will be good enough in the Championship. But as of right now they aren't going, so I'd think we just have players lined up to replace them but won't go for any until that becomes clearer.
-
IF he has a release clause, all these papers just keep making random numbers up.
-
"Release clause in the region of".. No fucking clue at all. So which one of Silva, De Bruyne, Nasri, Sterling or Navas do we sell to make room for Townsend?.. Well Sterling is shit and Navas couldn't score in a brothel, so one of them two.
-
That's still decent money for a player who would have been gone in the summer on a free, Gini have 4 or 5 years left on his deal !! Not to mention Austin apparently couldn't pass a medical.
-
Didn't roma sell Pjanic to fund a replacement for the injured Rudiger. We shouldn't sell cheaply. We won't. Despite the fact he's gone missing for a lot of the season, there's clearly a very good player in there. I think he'd have looked twice the player next season under Rafa. Agree but prepare for pelters him and Sissoko are this forums pet hates I think Sissoko would look a different player under Rafa, he actually did for the last 6 or so games of the season. Wijnaldum however was still just as shit as ever right to the last, despite basically everyone else upping their game under Rafa he was still as infuriating as ever.

Who?, Danny Graham and Steven Fletcher?

Palace can fuck off and die. And may I also add what an utter thicket of winnets Palace fans are. They bring back an utter fucking arsehole of a manager disliked for being a completely unprofessional, arrogant prick of a man who they have some cult attraction too because he was one of the many shite players that have played for them in their complete irrelevance of a history, then they buy a bloke two year after he left us re-uniting him with said prick and suddenly they're full of hot air towards us across social media and message boards, and now their club apparently want another player of ours? Fuck off. We'll be a better attraction than them even in the Championship. People point at us and say we've won fuck all and we have to take it off Man Utd, Liverpool etc but I'm not having it off a club like fucking Palace, runners up for the FA cup in 1990 and this year and a third place finish in the top flight in the 1990-91 season and that's the best claims they have? Fuck right off. Their stadium looks like something Whitley Bay FC would turn their noses up at and they made their club record signing this season at around 10m. Fucking no marks. They can comment when they've managed at least a game more than the mackems in Europe, macron wearing tramps.
-
Come on, £8 million is a fucking pittance these days. We know he was anonymous for the majority of games, but most outsiders won't know that. They'll see a 25 year old current Dutch international who scored 11 in 36 Premier League games last season. We'd be absolute mugs to value him anything less than £16m. Let the cunt big himself up in the media, hopefully some fucker believes him and we get a good fee, because he certainly isn't wanted here.
-
He'd have done a job as a backup, nothing more.
-
No doubt we offered him a small wage like £5-£10k or a pay as you play, if he'd agreed to that for a year fine as he'd still be worth that in the Championship even with injuries.
-
He wouldn't go if they did, he's only just signed a 3 year contract and he's an honourable bloke.
-
I don't think Mitrovic should be replaced to be honest, he's one of the few who weren't heartless and despite his flaws he could be something special, Perez?, depends on his attitude and Rafa can assess that. Janmaat, Wijnaldum and Sissoko can definitely fuck off for the right price though. But in the end I suppose any of them can go if Rafa decides he can get better for their money, and yeah their's definitely good money to be brought in for several of our players.
-
They never use the guy though. If it's West Ham though, why not cash plus player, we get Diafra Sakho & cash for Ayoze? Or I would seriously straight swap back for Carroll, would never happen like, but I would like to see it thrown at them. Straight swap Carroll for Perez? I was meaning id like that, not that I believe it. I wouldn't want it to happen, wouldn't even consider it. He's managed a run of games for the first time in years, but I seriously doubt his injuries are behind him.
-
Proven goalscorer with a strong assist record in his best age. Why not? 30 by the time the season starts, hardly the best age. While he's proven in the Championship he's very unlikely to be able to make the step up if/when we're promoted. Got to be better options out there.
-
It was an admittedly stupid and extreme example, but I just can't understand this apparent concept that we should be looking to employ a manager and players that AREN'T good enough to be at the highest level. Doesn't make any sense to me. That wasn't the point I was making though, I think it would be a risk to go into next season assuming that Perez and Mitrovic will bang in goals for fun in the championship. I said the same thing at the start of last season and the risk came back and bit us on the arse. It was obviously a risk in the Premier League, not so much in the Championship. No harm in going for a proven scorer to add to our options of course, but I'd be very confident of Mitrovic and Perez being more than good enough as a front pairing in this league.

Last time we looked hopeless right to the last game of the season, we went down with a pathetic whimper. That wasn't the case this time, we went unbeaten in six and were joint second of the form table. We don't need a special intervention to galvanise us this time around, because we've got a manager who's already shown he can get everyone pushing in the same direction.
-
I've no doubt Marseille won't want him as he hasn't been starting for them recently. But I seriously doubt we'll want him back either so looks like he's gone. Also while Thauvin has been in their side and doing well they can't afford him and he hasn't met any agreed number of games so he'll be coming back.
-
http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/05/marseille-stuck-remy-cabella-sending-florian-thauvin-back-newcastle-united/ So apparently they haven't bought Cabella yet but are obligated to do so in the near future. Also interesting to read that Thauvin has been the one actually getting in the side and scoring while Cabella has been on the bench lately, but Cabella is the one they'll end up due to the clause.
-
So did I, just when I was looking around a few places still have him as our player on loan (NUFC.com for instance). Obviously not definitive and maybe just hasn't officially gone through yet, just wondering.
-
I'm not doubting that another offer could have seen him go elsewhere, its very rarely any other way. I just think that article itself is bollocks in the way it portrays Benitez as waiting for another offer then agreeing to stay here because nobody else wanted him.
-
Wonder what will happen with Cabella and Thauvin, still just on loan with no sale agreed AFAIK. Also is Coloccini now here till 2018 with his contract extension?, because I'd like to get rid and replace him with a younger player with potential to improve.
-
He had been open about his intentions apparently but Valencia and Everton "might have been attractive"? Why are they guessing if he was open about his intentions?
-
The Mackems are clearly rattled, not a big club, Rafa can only run a club that's already had the work done for him, he'll fail in the championship because he's not done it before, he's a failure because he got us relegated, he couldn't do in 10 games what Di Canio did in 7, etc... different circumstances, different levels of incompetence, Rafa will transform this club and it doesn't matter what league we're in, a class manager is a class manager. He's got this and I've never been so excited for a new season, not for neigh on 20 years. They really are thick as mince, Di Canio got less points per game than Rafa, they stayed up because of the incompetence of those around them.

Rafas family was the main reason he came here. Don't kid yourself. The main reason he's here Is that his emotions supported this decision. So while you're right you're sort of discounting him. His Family, our fans, club history, and potential legendary status all factored in. He's not a lap dog to anyone. He'll do what he well pleases for his own ambitions. This is your club too by the way, there's no need to downgrade its capabilities. Don't let 2009+ NUFC cloud what we're truly capable of my man. Aye, as much as wanting to stay in England has had a big impact on his choice their's no chance he'd be managing a club like West Brom or Stoke had they been in need of a manager IMO. The size of this club, its fan base and the huge potential it has would absolutely have had a influence on his decision.
