  1. You'd have thought investment firms like this would do their homework on how Football works... They've paid £110m for a 60% share of the club, and they seem to believe they can make a profit by selling players and doing nothing to stop relegation. But of the £97m revenue 82% is from Premier League TV money and sponsorship/gate receipts would also drop from relegation. Its reasonable to assume that income would drop to about 10% of its current level after a couple of years in the Football league. The clubs value would drop similarly. They just aren't going to make a profit by leeching from the club as it drops into the Championship.
  2. If Ashley is preventing pre-takeover investment against the wishes of potential new owners there just won't be a takeover at all.
  3. Nah silly lad should have scored better, don't care if its a goal unless its clean as fuck, has to be unstoppable quite frankly or it doesn't count IMO.
  4. IMO its a silly fee for a lad who has scored a goal every 4 games for the last one and a half seasons and barely plays at all for a side 3 points above us. Then again why would Watford want to sell to a club 3 points below them for a reasonable fee? Better just to spend that money elsewhere if we have it anyway.
  5. Who's the other seven pawns in Ashley's global Machiavellian chess game?
  6. Strange aint it https://mobile.twitter.com/TomBenbow/status/948989917450899456/photo/1 doesnt that mean its 1065 millions... thats how i read it as the column is in £m as it states above so they actually have £106,500,000 Aye these kind of financial reports are always in millions, so net assets are actually £1,065,800,000. They seem to have fuck all reserve cash.

Once his confidence is up he's got a great ability to beat players. Just need to get him in that mood more often.
  8. Stoke the worst home side I can remember seeing in this league. Basically everything went there way decision wise and they still couldn't do anything.
  9. Just saying that's what people are thinking. The only thing that seems certain is that unless we get a takeover in time we won't be spending more money than we bring in from sales, its always been that way under this cunt. We also need a decent striker more than we'd need a replacement for Shelvey.
  10. Because people think it may be the only way we can buy and he's been shite.
  11. Might as well try something different, our last performance was Footballing AIDS.
  12. As well as claim others are upset because they disagree.
  13. Again, if we have a conversation like adults - nobody is saying Ben Arfa CANT be your favourite, they are just intrigued and questionning why. Rubbish, the original comment that started this was a outright claim that Ben Arfa isn't good enough to be a favourite player. Didn’t say that he’s not allowed to have him as a favourite player - just stated, in his opinion, that he doesn’t think Ben Arfa is good enough to be held that highly. A forum is a place for opinions, people are allowed them and people are allowed to question them. Its a pointless discussion, instead of giving an opinion on someone elses opinion just give a opinion on the subject. As in "Ok, My favourite player is X" not "Wow, no way is he good enough for you to like him that much" its fucking weird man.
  14. I've heard it all now like, this forum is mental

  16. Create a new thread, players people can and can't consider to be their favourite player. Wait for all the mental cunts to go in and lock them in there.
  17. Hard to say, Brighton have 2 more points than Bournemouth so would normally say a Brighton win, but maybe at this stage in the season a draw would be better Also after watching Brighton against us the other day its hard to imagine them beating anyone. Not just based on how defensive they were, obviously that could change at home. But just how fucking shite they were, I can't remember seeing a side pass the ball out of play that many times before. At one point they threw it out of play from a fucking throw in!
  18. If he fails to strengthen in January they'll simply pull the plug on the purchase.
  19. Keeper could have done better and STILL not saved it. Fucking hell, do some people think that basically hitting the goal line with the ball is a good height for a keeper to save like?
  20. So do the West Brom fans hate him yet? EDIT: Had a quick look on their forum "His style is great"
  21. We haven't heard anything from a reliable source that contradicts what Caulkin said so I'm quite calm about this, it'll happen.
  22. Players on our books better than Luiz in the last 15 years? Shearer, Solano, Robert, Owen, Cabaye (not a big signing at the time but think he was class in his prime), Ben Arfa
  23. "Whether Luiz is good enough". He'd be the best player we've had in about 15 years What? He's certainly good enough for us, more than good enough. But is he fuck anything like the best player we'd have had for the last 15 years, what a massive load of shit. Who's been better? Luiz was probably in the top ten best players in the league last season In a dominant side that walked the league aye, he's always been a classy but flawed defender. As a defender he'd be one of the best we've had for years, but the best player overall that we've had in 15 years?, nah I don't agree. I would say Colo at his best is one of the best players we've had in the last 15 years and Luiz is above that. Again, who's been better? IMO him and Coloccini are quite similar, I prefer Coloccini in his prime but I admit that might be bias. Woodgate was probably the best defender I've seen at the club in the last 15 years though . Anyway like I said we aren't talking just defenders, we've had better players on our books over the last 15 years than Luiz. That's not to say I wouldn't be very happy to see him here.
