  1. Shaqiri?, would excite me, really like him as a player and still only 23.
  2. Can only help in the next derby
  3. Seems a extremely good fake if it is like..
  4. Its just boring more than owt, surely not even Chelsea or Man Utd fans are entertained by it..
  5. SSN make me laugh like, we're supposed to be signing a striker for £13m and the "Big developing transfer news" they bring us is that Chelsea might come back in for John Stones and De Gea is probably leaving Man Utd this summer or next The same vague nothing stories that have been repeated every 10 minutes since yesterday.
  6. Think he'd be much more than a squad player, seems extremely highly rated at Anderlecht, as much or more so than Mitrovic. Definitely need to get rid of Williamson and Taylor. Imagine if we got rid of those two useless fuckers and replaced them with two quality centre backs, I'd be amazed to be honest.
  7. Its £32k, but the article specifies that's net pay, so after tax. Which would mean a total wage of around £60k per week.
  8. What does he have to lose by going to City? He'll probably be on the bench mostly but what if it turns out that he's a good fit for City and that he complements their style well. If it goes badly which it probably will, he'll go back to a midtable side in a few years, exactly where he is now A few years on the bench can severely stunt his career. Right now he's started to forge a good reputation, he's in form and getting international recognition. He has all of that to lose if he stalls his progress for a few years sitting on the bench.. Sadly he probably cares more about the extra £50k or so a week than anything else..
  9. Well yeah obviously.. Just saying I'd rather never have another player sign for us than the man who hired Pardew in charge again.
  10. Nee hurry for Penfold - still have 3 weeks before the Southampton game. Aye, because the two months since the season ended have been enormously productive so far. Never thought I'd say this but bring back Lambeezy, at least he could get a fucking player signed. He hired Pardew.
  11. Luckily the daily star isn't worth wiping your arse with.
  12. I actually don't get how that argument works, he's an asset and had a set guide price whoever and wherever the buyer is coming from? Surely if your selling, wether you skint or flush your asset doesn't gain or loose value when it has nothing to do with your commercial revenue? The value you put on a asset can be based on many things and how much cash you rake in or typically spend yourself is often one of them. I mean what we spent on Wijnaldum would be a record transfer fee if PSV, or any other Dutch club, paid it. Anyway its not just about Wijnaldum, they were saying we generally over pay if I remember correctly.
  13. Only player I'd be bothered about losing is Janmaat, and it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere just yet. Sissoko would be a bit of a blow, but I've resigned myself to him going for quite some time now, and I don't think he'd get in my preferred XI anyway. Obviously we need a squad and I'd rather get rid of a couple of our shit midfielders instead of him like. Perez? Not that he looks like going anywhere. But he's the player I'd least like to lose.
  14. I'm sure people tell us to stop pissing about all the time, usually our own fans
  15. Good, set the deadline and just move on if he's still pissing about.
  16. Of course they think we paid over the odds, they're a Dutch side and have little money coming in by comparison.
  17. Its no good motivating a player if you're only going to misuse him on the pitch and scapegoat him at every opportunity to save your own skin.
  18. Until the last season Pardew did a good job keeping him going, but ultimately ran out of patience and found it easy to sacrifice hba when colo put the pressure on him to do so. The reason hba isn't at this club isn't down to Pardew, just like cabaye hba didn't really have too many bad things to say about him. He probably didn't want to have a go at Pardew because he just thought it would look bitter and instead just wanted to move on. I saw with my own eyes how badly he was treated on the pitch and Pardew absolutely did have a big part to play in him going.
  19. If Pardew or Carver were still here I'd expect him to be first choice, don't assume he will be with McClaren personally, we'll see.
  20. Why would McClaren necessarily make Colback first choice?

    Florian Thauvin

Surely we have to be getting the impression from somewhere that he's interested?

Load of rubbish since its pre season tbh. Agreed, remember people saying the same about Pardew during pre season as well. Really?
  23. Second rate? Well yes, a squad full of Krul's, Janmaat's, De Jong's, Anita's and Wijnaldum's without your Robben's or Sneijder's wouldn't get you to a World Cup final and semi final in all honesty. Not having Janmaat as second rate like, fuck van der Wiel he's the second rate one! Yeah I know you just mean he's not one of the dutch superstars, but still your best right back IMO

    Sunderland

Did they send him back like?
