  1. What isn't funny about that? I mean who doesn't enjoy a good look alike

Pathetic from Southampton, deliberately putting in low ball offers instead of paying the going rate.

    Steve McClaren

Maybe they are, but not announced yet? McClaren has already come out and said he hopes now to have it sorted before 1st July. He said he wants the best people, but they are often already in good jobs and are difficult to obtain, hence the delay. May have the majority of them in place already though?
  4. Is there a list of completed Premier League transfers for this summer anywhere?
  5. Sure. It was a great run of form. Still not a whole lot of information to go on about how he might do here. No, but at least he's on good form and scoring goals. Luuk De Jong's form was terrible before we got him, couldn't buy a goal in the Bundesliga and it showed in his time here. Luuk de Jong is a better player, and I'm not even joking. I never believed De Jong was a bad player. I think he would have done far better here had he not come off the back of horrendous form which his confidence down through the floor.
  6. 16 goals in 21 league games also ring a bell? Not that I believe the report like, but it would hardly be anything like the Luuk De Jong signing.
  7. You're going to get quoted so often if he ends up scoring a hat full
  8. Wouldn't be surprised if Simpson is already here, just not announced yet. I think him leaving Derby just after McClaren says a lot and we never seem in much of a hurry to announce anything.

We broke even last year so I'd expect some net spend this year, but £60m, nah never going to happen.

People expecting us to spend much more than that will be in for disappointment. Not really, they spent more than that last year. The net spend wasn't anywhere near that which is what we're talking about here. Ah right. didn't see net spend mentioned once mind but fair enough. How could it be a £25m transfer fund without working on net spend? £17m net spend plus the £8m we got for Yanga-Mbiwa and Santon?
  11. Will probably cost them another £3-4m to sack him. They were in the relegation zone on goal difference so any new manager would have had a fair chance of saving them. If that new manager wasn't a useless bull shitting slime ball that would have made their future far brighter. Anyway I hope the fact he's a complete bull shitter and the fans loving him so much keeps him in a job long enough to really fuck them up, delusional tossers.
  12. Had no idea they'd agreed a fee for Remy, so that's knew anyway. Is that confirmed?
  13. Well they are moving to the Olympic Stadium and will want to fill it so need a good season this year hence binning Allardyce. Also with the sale of Upton Park and shtuff they are pretty cash rich so can spend. Being linked to a fair few players ie Remy, Austin etc. Thought there must be something new I'd missed. They probably will spend quite a bit, a lot of clubs should be able to, but as yet they haven't done anything.
  14. What have they done all of a sudden though?

    Sunderland

Not if they did a "if only foreign goalscorers counted" table surely? Um ... nah Pretty sure we'd still be at the bottom or thereabouts. We don't score any goals period! We'd probably be somewhere around mid table, job done for Ashley and co!

  17. Don't rate him and he's a right cunt (remember the hand ball?), would be gutted to have him anywhere near the club.

he's more than likely been done up like a kipper by his new mate Charnley. I can't imagine a situation where Mike Ashley has wanted to do a favour (albeit paid for) for Simon bird when he turned up at the SD AGM to fire questions about us at him I thought he made it clear on his twitter account he was not interested in coming to the toon. No he didn't.
  19. Except it hasn't actually happened. Also except that we all know bringing in Pardew at all never mind for £3m was a terrible decision no matter how well its worked so far. Long term he'll destroy them

Yeah there's always a chance like as clubs get desperate. Would be a transfer deadline day thing IMO if he did go for £15m, QPR will probably shit their pants way before then and sell for £10m or so.

Also don't believe anyone will pay £15m for Austin. QPR are desperate for cash, need to reduce their wage bill and know that in January they'll be lucky to get £3-4m for him given that his deal ends in July next year. Clubs will have that in mind.

Whilst I agree with the majority of that, there's no way they can even feel our transfer policy is an overall success. Carroll and Cabaye can't be held up when there's so many Gouffrans/Williamsons/Rivieres/Yang Mbiwas Wouldn't lump Yanga-Mbiwa in with those clowns personally. Obviously he didn't work out here, but unlike the other three I don't think that was down to lack of quality, but rather our piece of shit "manager" at the time.

    Steve McClaren

I wish people would stop saying the bollocks in bold. Why does Steve McClaren deserve a chance at managing a club he has no association with in a town he has no association with? Nobody said he deserves the job, just that now he's got it he deserves a chance. Simply because he isn't useless, he might just be a good coach.
