  1. I think more people will buy them if they have that design on them, especially considering it's already been featured in the national press. The more people that will buy and wear them, the better.
  2. Wouldn't be so bad were it not for the tens of chances he's fucked up.
  3. From what I know about the issue, Ellis should shut the fuck up. He was the reason that club was in such a shitty state, with a crap squad and a terrible manager, and from the sound of it, with outdated facilities. Keeping a club debt-free doesn't guarantee success, so he shouldn't act like his penny-pinching ways were well thought out, in order to keep that club in the bottom half of the table for years, waiting for a foreign big-money investor could suddenly come along. I don't have any like for Villa really, but I don't really like big-money investors in football, and Ellis in particular seems like an arrogant, pompous asshole.

    3-4-3

We'd be violently exposed. Bent's going to be there on Saturday. Plus, Martins and Rossi aren't really wing-forwards.
  5. I've always hated Eriksson, for his negative tactics and insistence on picking stars. I just wonder if those 2 things wouldn't really be factors here. It's not like we have huge selection problems on our hands, and perhaps what this club needs is a manager who will come in and focus on the defense. I think the media would fuck Sven about, and make him a failure, but I think it would be really really good for this club to have a more defensively minded manager, or at least one who preached the importance of tactical discipline and team shape. Just not sure who that would be..... Of those 4, I'd probably take Ranieri.
  6. It's not just Martins, it's almost everyone else in our starting XI. If anyone goes down injured or goes through a bad spell, we're also fucked in that position. This has already shown itself in the defense.
  7. I don't see how anyone can really know what went on. Knowing Shepard, he could well have gone straight over Roeder's head and brought in his typical glamour signings. If we knew for a fact that Roeder's plan all along had been to bring in these 3 players, and that was all, then OK, we can blame him, but there's no way to tell whether or not that's the truth. A lot of people have been saying that Roeder seems like he doesn't have a plan, or that Roeder doesn't know what he's doing, or that Roeder can't attract big names. But in reality, it's speculation, fueled by the media, and their speculation. Considering who the leader of this football club is, we can really only truly blame one person, because it was either his transfer policy or his appointment that made a mess of this transfer period. But there's still way too much doom and gloom. If we get it right attacking-wise, we're going to score a lot of goals this season.
  8. Is he going to be in charge today when the mackems play West Brom?
  9. The worst part is that the Oliver stuff is 100% true.
  10. Doesn't matter, points are based on what they do in their individual games.

    WC 2018

Depending on what happens over the next 3 years or so, football-wise, I think FIFA would prefer to go down a route of an up and coming football nation. China, USA, or Australia will probably be strong candidates, especially if Brazil or Argentina get the 2014 World Cup. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_world_cup Despite the US having more stadium capacity, I think England's bid would be the most impressive, because of the high quality of these Football only stadia.

    The Final Run In

We're equal on goal difference now with Blackburn, and at this point, there's no reason why we shouldn't get 6th. If Owen, Emre, Bowyer, and Taylor are back for that final game, we should have a very good chance.
  14. If Roeder was our 4th or 5th choice, and Hitzfield, O'Neill, Hiddink, etc. rejected us, then I don't see how anyone could be dissapointed with his appointment. I think he could really push the top 4 if we're shrewd in the transfer market. That being said, we'd have to have some sort of solution to finish out the end of the season. We either have 1 or 2 games at the end, which have turned out to be very, very important. So I hope some solution can be reached that will allow him to stay on the touchline.
