Was in a meeting with someone today who had a fairly senior role in a company previously taken over by MA and Sports Direct. Described him as nothing more than an "asset stripper", laughed off his "Harrods of the North" comment, and explained that he simply sent the accountants into their workplace for a few months and then laid everyone off, even those who had 40 years of service and were due a pension. He's a lovely man.
