  1. Their biggest win here since 1966, innit? 1979 actually. Still
  2. Vermin everywhere between SJP and Central like, we were stuck in it for ages
  3. at what point did you see that ? before they scored i could only see us scoring, after they scored I saw it like you did. I thought you looked tired and pretty devoid of ideas from the off. You're right, though, once they'd scored, it got worse. I thought they were worth their win, but the scoreline probably flatters them a tad, as it suggests they were relatively decent, which they weren't. They just had more application. I thought they had more focus and aggression. They had only one player who offered any real threat in Sessegnon, yet despite our work on defence all week under Pardew, he was given the freedom of the park to cause havoc. In contrast, they closed down our attacking threats quite successfully. We seem to have a problem picking up players playing in 'the hole'. We gave Sessegnon acres of space and let him gather momentum time and time again. Was just going to mention this exact thing. Considering our love of pre-match scouting and adopting our performance/shape to deal with oppositions, how is it that Sessegnon constantly gets free reign against us? Never mind the starting formation, we then switched to fucking 4-4-2 and gave him even more license to roam about in between the midfield and defence. Just stick Tiote or Perch on him, let the two central defenders deal with Graham and any extra threat from in-front/the sides and push Cabaye on a bit/drag Sissoko back in a bit to compete with Larsson and N'Diaye. Generally hate our version of the 4-2-3-1, but today took the biscuit.
  4. I'll try again, then... I dont know- but a wild guess would be he celebrated a mackem goal? Think this must've been the only likely explanation, but it was pretty horrific to see first-hand. The lad took a pasting. Fighting, fair enough, but when it's people stamping and kicking at someone on the ground it goes too far for me. I'm assuming from the venom a few were spitting that they'd warned this lad already though, now that I think back, someone was shouting at one of the stewards that they should've had him out earlier (as though he'd been flagged and fuck all was done). In terms of the actual beating the stewards did fuck all again, police turned up five minutes later when it was all over and some woman had to then be escorted out on a stretcher thing by St. Johns with what looked like a panic attack from witnessing it all.

nah, what i was saying was, if we were outsiders thats how we'd have looked at it. Right. And why were you saying that? Have you not met Madras?

  7. I'll be staggered if Moyes doesn't sign a new deal at Everton. Same really, there's nothing out there at this moment in time that he'd see as a step up. Can't see him being up Chelsea's street or a good fit for a job like that anyway. With the new TV money and Everton's track record of spending well with their limited resources he may simply think spending that money better than their immediate rivals will be enough to crack the top four again, they're close enough now as it is.
  8. Probably not realistic for a multitude of reasons (his salary being one), but I'd be delighted with David Moyes above all others from the current crop of PL managers. The only reason I'd think we'd have a chance is the fact he'd be going for nothing in the summer and seems to be angling for a change (or more money to spend at Everton). Obviously you'd think Laudrup or Martinez would be worthwhile gambles and Jol may also be capable of pushing us on while being more of a conservative bet. Short answer: I dunno, but I would like a change.

    Alan Pardew

I'm sure he's wheeled out the "free week to work on shape" line after a shite performance or two earlier in the season, I'm also fairly sure it made little difference to our general performance level/results the following game.

Never had any should be an option. Too smug and "told you so" for my liking. Yes or no will do.
  16. We were desperate on the left side of defence today. Above all else that was the area that let us down, Graham absolutely bossed Yanga-Mbiwa throughout and the less said about Jonas the better.

    Papiss Cissé

Needs to keep his head today, but I do fancy him for at least one with the team we look like fielding. He's got to be nearing top form again now. Sounds petty, but I'd love for him to end up with more goals than Ba for the season.
  18. Solid three hours or so of sleep Buzzing my tits off now though http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc3hg5VpQP1qcy0p7o1_500.gif
  19. I wish they would get rid of the music before the game, it kills the build up. Silence before certain games would definitely be an idea at times.
