A short scout report from Scandinavia: sweden Emir Bajrami is a young swedish left winger that could be a really good buy. Its always a bit of a gamble but this guy has been impressive in the league and in the swedish U-21 team. I would also definately go for IFK Gothenburgs icelandic for centre back Ragnar Sigurdsson. He's a great young player. A rock in defence with good passing and shooting. Tobias Hysen, the former Sunderland player was the top scorer in the league this season and could be a hit in the PL given the chance as a forward. Great pace, finds the net and mentally strong. Denmark FC Copenhagen has two great goalies. I'd try to buy swede Johan Wiland from them, he seems to be second choice and thats really a shame. In Norway Skjeldbred and Huseklepp are interesting prospects.

We have a competent side for the championship. I think we are ok in midfield and attack. The priority when going for loans now should definately be centreback.

Tickets only cost about a tenner so the average croud is over 70k every game. Man, that's pretty class like. Think that's just became my new favourite stadium outside of the Toon. Toivonen started quite well in PSV. 6 goals in 14 games or something like that. Dont forget that the dutch league is worse than ever though.. I agree with alot said in the article but as many have pointed out. Its more of a Keegan thing than a Shearer thing hopefully. Id rather see us getting someone like Martinez in but as things are at the moment. Shearer is the only choice really.

I f we stay up, I think our strategy in the transfer market should definately be to go for players with a good mentality that will find it easy to adapt to the side. Paying triple the money for british players is just stupid. We should raid bundesliga and the nordic countries and stay oway from the mediterrainian and southamerican leagues. Rasmus Elm, young swedish international midfielder that plays all over midfield should be top of the shopping list. He will be swedens next big thing after the likes of Larsson, Ljungberg and Ibrahimovic. In Bundesliga we should check out names like Misimovic, Dzeko, Helmes, Voronin, Mathijsen etc.
