It`s not as if Ashley rolled up to Sir Johns mansion two days ago with a suitcase full of money is it??? They will have been at this for a couple of weeks if anything and Shep was Ok then wasn't he, just a stroke of bad/good luck (select approp.) that he was on his deathbed when the news came through. Personally I think Fat fred would have done exactly the same or something far more murky if the roles were reversed...

It`s as if Milner is Pele all of a sudden... As far as I can remember is that he's got talent but trips over the ball, over runs the ball and puts shit crosses in more than the opposite of the aforementioned. Very good prospect and hopefully sam will polish this lads defects... P.S. I do like Milner but a bit of overload going on!
-
Gudjohnson would be a good signing. Very consistent player and does a lot off the ball for the team. He may not be van horse face in the goals scored department but he would certainly be better than shola/carrol up front with owen/martins...
-
If they sell Berbatov it just makes the gap bigger between them and where they should want to go...Premiership. Give the strongest force in English football your best player! makes sense?

spelling: perspective & reference
-
In referncfe to it being "Pocket Change", that is exactly what it is to Ashley. It is a mere 7% of the man's worth. It is actually less given that his interest are probably making him profit each year. For mere mortals like ourselves it is a huge amount but you have to realise the word "perpective" to grasp whether this amount spent is gut wrenching for a billionaire....

As mentioned by somebody above this bloke owns major sports brands and no doubt sees some excellent advertising opportunities should Newcastle do well. The fact that the buyout of newcastle u7nited amounts to about 7% of his personal wealth means it could be the worst investment of his life but he wouldn't give two funks about it, would he? Only 14% of the cash he has swilling around from his recent float of half of one of his companies!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Just in case Ashley is reading: I can give you a 100% return on investment over a 3 year period, much better than Nufc mate!!!
-
Really Happy. If it is only an investment, this investment will be far more worthy with european football and a team that can sell merchandising on the back of results... So, good luck Ashley! whatever your intentions are...

who cares about the champions league....mickey mouse innit!! wwwwhhhhooooopppeeee.

-------------shay-------------- solano--cambell--Ben Haim---Bridge Milner---Sidwell---Dyer----Duff ----------Anelka----Owen---- Subs: Martins, Butt, Taylor, Zoggy, Krul Yes, I am on class A drugs!!!
-
I would quite happily sell owen for 11 million and go for Anelka with the money, he would be a better pairing up front with Oba. Or vice versa, oba for 12 million and anelka and owen up front. Just call me Allardice!!
-
I don't think he should stay. The players will have lost their respect for him and this would be very hard to win back, it must be horrible going to work each day knowing you have to work with a shyster who doesn't give a monkeys, suprised he's not been lamped yet...
-
Allardice surely knows that owen is one of the best strikers in england and the best english striker! Why the hell would he get rid of him? Bolton are quite fluid AND MAKE GOOD USE OF THEIR FULL BACKS (BYE BYE CARR, BABA!!).
-
possibly leave us a bit vulnerable to more physical teams
-
the front five would frighten a few teams when they're on form...
-
Depressing isn't it! please let freddy make me eat my words...
-
Ha ha ha... Why do you think he was sacked? Funk all to do with Freddy making an intelligent decision...Just that season ticket renewal period is coming up and we need something to bouy up the locals with...you don't actually think we'll get a top manager do you? Hughes or Allardice will come in and take us up to the 6-9th level in the league...whoooopeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Whoa!! Imagine this front three: Owen Tevez Martins Bit short on ariel power but they could run rings round most defences...
-
Should really be who we keep! Wouldn't have to write so much... Given Owen Martins, Zoggy Milner Taylor Solano
-
WOW! Must really be an inside source then:)

-Would love Hiddink to come here, has been successful wherever he's been (from what I can remember) but it would probably be a job that could sully his career and is perhaps interested in bigger fish (chelski). -Houllier has also done very well at Lyon and would bring with him the in depth knowledge of european players (especially french) which would probably mean more for our money in the transfer market. I like the way Lyon have played when I've seen them in the champions; organised defence and attacking football but always with a team effort... -Sam is a ready made option and would probably be the best option to stop the slide as he seems to know how to scrap out points. Not too optimistic about the long term with him as we don't know whether he has other feathers in his cap (systems/tactics...).
