Hope I eat my words sometime soon in the future (after a good loan)

I understand he is a kid and we shouldn´t be nit picking his games as much, but the current vein of form we are in makes us look for scapegoats, myself guilty as much as anyone. I just don´t see the superstar in the making that everyone else is. I am only seeing deficiencies at the moment, yes, he makes a nice pass every now and again when in space and without pressure but his defensive frailty, lack of pace and the lack of willingness of his teammates to pass to him (I see this a lot in the games, maybe subconciously to protect him) is killing us.

I honestly think we are trying to wriggle out of the option to buy clause for Hall, I can´t understand anything else other than that for his absence. It doesn´t seem like great business now paying 30 million for an unproven kid when PSR/FFP is so tight and we will need quite a revamp in the summer...

This was really exagerrated when Miley and longstaff were on together, bruno was knackered, and the movement in front of him (miggy apart) was non-existant!

Doesn't bring anyhting to the midfield. Very pedestrian and gets caught out too often and/or misplaces easy passes too often. Needs a loan or something in the summer, really hope joe and anderson stay fit as he is killing our midfield. Yep, I know he is 17, that is why he should be given game time elsewhere

Miggy did well when he came on. Miley same as... Tino really good. Barnes off day as hus shooting is his speciality, penalties and gametime

Needed a rest, prefer him to be ready for wolves on saturday.

I think Eddie has probably had one his hardest seasons: Injuries Suspensions (including bruno on tenderhooks for last 4-5 games) Lots of players falling out of form (Tripps/Burn/Botman/Wilson/bruno)... If the players aren´t performing I don¨t think system changes will help much. Puts a bit more perspective into it.

We have nobody who can come in and make a difference in midfield. Willock will be very rusty, it would be unfair to expect too much from him. Longstaff and Miley need hooked (for a while for me), but we have no real upgrades to substitute them with....

Miley is a 17 yr old kid, he is just not up to it. His game misses defensive awareness and he does not use the space around him to his advantage. Add to that Lingstaff and bruno having a mare... EXPOSED

Burn is on a bad run of form, the manager needs to make a change for the good of the team. Against Saka you need somebody with pace and who is able to turn quickly, this is not big Dan unfortunately... Tino has to play!

I also like the fact Phil Giles would bring a much more fact based/analytical approach to recruitment, and he seems highly intelligent (PHd level... wow!). As from what i can read (The Athletic) elsewhere; it seems that we are slightly more antiquated in our recruitment approach (scouts watch and report). A mix of the two would be perfect.

Times reporting that we want 20 million quid for him or he will stay on for the 18 or 20 months gardening leave. liklehood is that we accept 12-15 Million for him and move on...

Just hope our management don´t fold and let the mancs get him on the cheap. 10 million or wait 20 months... take it or leave it!
