  1. Bravado? PIF knows we’re restricted by PSR and the fanbase are aware so he can make such statement safe in the knowledge the fanbase will say “ if it was wasn’t for those damn PSR rules we’d outspend everyone” and not actually have to do it.

    Giorgio Scalvini

Guehi as prem proven plus we know he can play in high pressure games from seeing him in international tournament football. Scalvini has the bigger upside but we don’t know how the injury has affected him.
  3. Probably best to sell but if we can squeeze a bit more out of Leeds that’d be great. One year left and unfortunately for him a squad that is exceeding his capabilities. Invest in a new midfielder and that gives four quality midfielders for three positions plus Miley. If we can shift Willock as well and replace even better.

    Giorgio Scalvini

…..then Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall stick a black bin bag (heavy duty none of that cheap shite that tears) over his head and bundle him in against his will.

    Anthony Elanga

How many more tweets until “the player only wanted Chelsea when they made their interest known”…

    Anthony Elanga

I thought of him as a pace merchant only but the stats the others have posted show he’s more than that. If Howe wants him I’m all in. £55m plus is expensive but we know what we’re getting versus a player with no PL experience. Will we be a stronger team with him in it, definitely with all respects to Murphy and I guess that’s the main thing.
  7. I’m all for financial controls but PSR is a rigged system to keep the status quo. Bring in a maximum squad cost (transfers, salaries, bonuses and agent fees) that can be spent by all clubs not this system where the historically wealthy/succesful get to spent unlimited sums compared to the rest. To safeguard clubs against unscrupulous owners make it a rule that only a certain percentage can be debt finance and a plan is submitted six monthly to the league to show how these debts will be repaid. If you want to go above the debt cap then you can spend owners money but this can’t be a loan against the club.

    João Pedro

The club needs to rethink the strategy, they’re obviously targeting premier league proven going by the reported targets such as Joao Pedro, Elanga, Mbeumo, Guehi. Offering 45m for Elanga when Forest value him at £60m plus and don’t need to sell to make it happen you have to overpay (I’m not saying he’s worth overpaying for but as an example). If we’re unwilling or unable to overpay then why are we wasting time? Appreciate with Joao Pedro the player wants Chelsea and us paying the fee Brighton want is irrelevant but the point stands in general. Need to take some risks in the European market as we’ve done in the past.

    João Pedro

There is but you have to be brave and some may turn out to be duds. We were with the likes of Bruno, Botman, Gordon, Hall, and Tino. They were either good players in foreign leagues but no prem experience or upcoming English players on big fees. Seem to be targeting prem proven and getting blown out of the water by the Cartel clubs.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Technically we’ve signed two, Cordero (1st July) and Vakhtang Salia (Joins end of August).
  11. I would take that as him saying it’s done, don’t get stressed?
  12. Which I think is why he did the gesture which looked like flicking the V but wasn’t.
  13. Back to back Champions!
  14. Every time I hear Quansahs name mentioned I think of this episode of Futurama (sorry if off topic)
  15. French clubs being smart (same as German clubs) signing upcoming English players to flog back to us a couple of seasons later at inflated fees.
  16. Desperate stuff from England there.
  17. Germans look more energetic at this stage.
  18. There’s a disconnect between the U21 and full team. Usually there a style of play running through the various levels. When you get to the full team it’s completely different. Also how many from this team will transition to the full team under Tuchel. I doubt many as his aim is the World Cup.
